Burns night. It was fairly busy. Family of four. We are placed on a table of six, felt sorry for the couple who wanted to be on their own. Service so slow. Seated at 7pm, starter at 8.10. Mains just after 9, lukewarm. Walked out at 10.15 with no sign of dessert. Food was brought out by table numbers, so 17 got their starter as table 1 had easily finished. Music a joke. Speakers had blown half way through the evening. Bagpipes did a lap of honour to welcome the haggis. Then he was gone. The food was quality but was not worth that wait. Settled bill, was smiled at and acknowledged it was slow service. If you can’t deal with it, don’t do it. The lift was broken. So a 70yr old asthmatic was pushed to their limits. The noise in the dining area just echoes around a lovely space. So it’s deafening after everyone’s had a drink. I’m young enough to deal with it. But most wouldn’t.
