Hampton Inn Latrobe

We spent one night here and that is enough. We had a king single. The room was okay, though the TV was positioned oddly to watch if you were sitting on the couch. If you like watching TV in bed, it’s perfect. Everything seemed clean and functional, except the water in the bathroom sink barely trickled in. Staff people were nice. There were enough electric outlets in the room. Breakfast was the usual, though the eating area was nice. Unfortunately, the hotel is right on US#30. Traffic noise was loud and annoying when I was trying to sleep and the hard bed didn’t help. I was happy to move on. The Internet was the slowest that I’ve experienced in some time. There was no EV charging. I don’t mean to sound too harsh. It was a typical one night, roadside hotel, just not what I expected with that name and pricepoint.

Very nice hotel. Clean. Nice rooms. Nice linens. They did not clean every day only every other day, but it worked for us. Very friendly front desk staff. Good breakfast.

The room was very clean, safe, and big enough for me to do some work from the room. The only small negative was the tub had a rust leak, which could be fixed, but it didn't affect my stay. I stayed a week and the staff at the front desk was great. They were very friendly and helpful. I even checked out very early on my last day but left some personal property behind. The clean staff BETTY found them and handed them to the manager Mary. I called when I got home, and they mailed the items to me at NO CHARGE. If I had business or wanted to see the area again, I would stay again. They are around the Hotel has numerous shops, stores, and restaurants.

It was an ok experience. I intended to book the Arnold Palmer Marriott across the way but accidentally selected this hotel. First being Hilton Honors members we were not offered water or anything. Receptionist was nice and we fid appreciate the Steelers decor at front desk area. Breakfast didn’t stand up to the Hampton’s we have been to in the past, no variety. Drury Inn does the best job at breakfast, but there is not one in the Latrobe area. Room relatively clean and most things in working order, the first room we went too someone had hand pulled the window blind so we could not open the blinds to let light in and the attendant said no maintenance person would be available to repair, so we moved to another room. These rooms need brighter light as they are dated with dark color carpets and finishes along with yellow hue lighting, which is initially depressing. I’m hoping whenever this hotel is remodeled you will select lighter colors and daylight bright lights! Seems like walls are very thin, we heard children running & playing in hallway for about an hour around 11:30 pm. I can’t say I would choose to stay at this hotel again unless I had no other choice.

The room smells so bad. Possibly mold? The rooms are not great - they’ve added newish furniture but you can tell they’ve just tried to update and clean up an old motel. It’s really musty. I wouldn’t stay for more than one night, max.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and quiet. There were plenty of options at the breakfast bar and coffee 24/7. The location was close to everything we needed.

Was hardly able to get any sleep at all, as MANY of the rooms are against the highway and inadequately insulted. I was told all the king rooms are on this side. It was SO LOUD, and that was even after me downloading and playing a white noise app on high. Hotel management didn’t do anything either. They said there was nothing they could do because they were sold out. A property in this spot needs to be adequately insulated and prepared for sound, but it’s been this way for years if you look at the reviews. They simply don’t have the integrity to care. People come to hotels to do one thing, get sleep. The general manager was about as unprofessional as I one could ever be… rudely being condescending and talking over me despite me being as polite and respectful as can be… and if she can’t deal with a simple situation and such an easy-going person like me, I can’t imagine her ever being able to handle any kind of challenge…like somebody yelling and being disrespectful, etc. Which as we all know, is all too common unfortunately these days. She’s paid to make situations better, but single-handedly makes them worse. Very strange person and I can’t fathom how she’s the manager of anything. She honestly shouldn’t be managing a mop. Saddest thing is, if she’s comfortable with acting this way, ownership must not care either. Stay elsewhere. There are so many other options. 😊

We booked this hotel which is nearby the Steelers Youth Football camp facility held at St Josephs College. Our room was clean and okay, did not use the breakfast service. Right next door to a couple of restaurants which was convenient. Hotel looks to be getting a refresh as they were painting the outside of the hotel.

This is a clean but older budget hotel. It met our needs for the night passing through on our trip. Nothing fancy and nothing to complain about. It did not have a refrigerator in the room, which would have been nice.
