Avoid room 210,strong musty smell, restaurant was not too bad, food was good, staff friendly and prices were as expected really. Was more expensive than usual and not my usual Premier Inn experience. Still no response from Premier Inn regarding the room.

We turned up early at 11.15 am and Sarah sorted us out a room which had been spotlessly cleaned by Cathy. People were checking out and both Sarah and Cathy were so polite, friendly and professional. We always find Premier Inn's clean and good customer service and this was exceptional. Both ladies are a credit to Premier Inn. Well done and thank you.

Rubbish tired hotel with staff that didn’t listen - on arrival the receptionist asked if we wanted our room cleaned the next morning - if course we did , guess what on arriving back the next night still the same as we left it in the morning no bed made no fresh towels , no refills for tea etc We made the same male receptioist aware of the problem and he could only offer a couple of towels He checked his list and said the room had been cleaned . If this was my 1st time with premiere inn I would never go again - sort it out a clean room is a basic requirement for a hotel stay Food in the beef eater was terrible the first night asked for a medium steak and it came out cremated - my wife asked for garlic bread with her lasagne and Indian flat bread was served what a shambles The 2nd night was 100percent better - steaks grilled to perfection all food was excellent all cooked by a young 17 lad - well done The breakfast were very good but the layout disjointed - drinks - cereals and hot all in different locations but the staff at breakfast outstanding

This is a conveniently located hotel for the station and Telford town with free parking - main reasons for selecting it. We rang ahead requesting a top floor room and Sarah was able to oblige. She also checked us in politely and efficiently. The lift was clanky. Our room was fine though the desk was dusty as if cleaned at last check-out and unused for a few days. The shower was decent though showing signs of wear and use - patches of black mould around seals; in need of a decent scrub along the grouting and around fixtures. The 2 towel rails are one above the other so no practical way to dry both bath towels, hand towel and bath mat by hanging them separately. It was quiet. This hotel, or at least the room we were in, had done away with the net curtains (often manky so a relief there weren't any). The door was poorly fitting so I hung my coat on the handle to block some of light shining through the huge gap which made the room too bright for sleeping for me. The reason for such a low star level was on the Sunday morning, we saw several piles of clean bedding along the corridor ON THE FLOOR, which we thought must be for the rooms being vacated that morning. I reported this to reception, emphasising my disgust at the unhygienic practice. The first woman I spoke to, in Premier Inn uniform, walked off saying she'd get someone. Another woman came out and I repeated the complaint. She said she would deal with it and get things rectified. On the Monday morning, we saw a room being cleaned and prepared after use. Both pillows and the duvet were on the bedroom floor. This time I complained to Head Office who have advised they have passed on my concerns to the hotel management team. The TV guide pages were out-of-date; showing June and we stayed in September! Also very few Freeview channels available. We had breakfast at the Beefeater next door on the Monday. Usual issues - food ran out and had to be frequently topped; some hot, some not. Only 2 staff working as best they could in the restaurant; unaware how many in kitchen. Toasters very slow - we were advised of this by 1 of the staff.

How cynical. Easy to write a glowing review, a maze when it’s negative. That won’t win you fans. The entire floor smells of vomit. My room smells of vomit and the windows are sealed. Glorious. I woke up at 1.30am to get to Telford, I got to this place about 6pm. Knackered, with my room the furthest from reception. Well done Premier Inn, I strongly suspect you won’t reimburse my company, primarily because I didn’t whine when I arrived at my room. Night.

I stayed at the Premier Inn after arriving by train prior to starting a cycling trip. The hotel is very convenient because it is just across the road from the station. I usually choose Premier Inn if I can when cycling because you can take your bike to your room so no worries about security. The room and bed were comfortable as usual and the cost was reasonable so good value for money.

Booked for two nights as on business in the area but Wi-fi virtually non existent to really poor, which made working on both evenings I was there impossible. The room was tired though relatively clean although there was a cobwebs on a bedside lamp. The bulb had gone on the desk lamp and the hairdryer was intermittent. The shower room was lovely and seemed relatively new. The one bugbear I really have with these buildings is that the window was not openable, the heating was reactive to the control panel, but there was no way to switch off the noisy air conditioning/fan causing me to have a very poor night's sleep on both nights. The parking outside was plentiful. I will likely use an alternative the next time I need to visit. Friendly staff.

Very well appointed bathroom although the lowered bath was less convenient than a walk-in shower would be. The main problem for me was the very low height of the bed which was difficult and painful to access. The website indicated that it could be raised but when I asked about that I was told the kit had been withdrawn on ‘health & safety’ grounds. Then i would suggest using a normal bed.
