The hotel is located along a busy street. It is authentic from the colonial era. The disadvantage is that there is no common room. The bathroom with a leaking sink and a dirty shower tray and shower curtain do not meet 4-star standards. Breakfast is only from 7 am while you would like to leave early if you are traveling through. However, the breakfast to go was fine. We do not necessarily recommend it.

Wat een verborgen parel, langs de weg, achter een muur. Fantastisch mooi groot koloniaal huis. Met hoogteverschillen, kleine winkel met batik. Prachtige suite gehad met woonkamer, slaapkamer en badkamer. Heerlijk ontbijt. Lekkere snacks! Heerlijk geslapen ondanks een drukke straat. Heel vriendelijk personeel.

What a shame for this superb art deco building!! Stayed 3 nights.....Despite being upgraded to a suite at the back, you hear the noise of the traffic from the street/road in front! The bathrooms are not maintained (bathtub or shower) and this smell of sewer when you enter.....rooms filled with mosquitoes...and rats in front of the door on the exterior side!!!! Really saddening!!! The staff, on the other hand, are very kind and try to please you. Really a shame because the little neighborhood just behind is really peaceful and pleasant....

My wife and I stayed at Roemahkoe for two nights in august 2023. We had a spectacular experience. The building is a truly unique hotel and we feel very lucky to have stayed there. The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. I arrived with a bit of food poisoning and they walked us to a possible room upgrade that would be the quietest room in the hotel. Also, without asking, they immediately turned down the (already soft) lobby music when we got in the room to make sure I could rest. This is a treasure in Solo and I hope many more people get to experience the stay.
