Proprietario per nulla accogliente, location non felice, ragno in camera, colazione niente di particolare, non vale il prezzo richiesto. Si salvano la piscina, la sauna e il bagno turco, ma 4 stelle sembrano troppe

Con il nostro motoscafo da Angera in 15 minuti abbiamo potuto attraccare comodamente sul molo del ristorante hotel Il Porticciolo accanto al porto di Laveno … erano quasi le 14 ma ci hanno accolti con gentilezza senza problemi ed eravamo in quattro -ottimi e ricercati i piatti dell Osteria e la gestione informale con classe e gradevolissima. Ve lo consigliamo vivamente noi ci torniamo spesso.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans l’hôtel avec une très belle vue sur le lac. Le service minimum, propre et confortable dommage que l’accès piscine soit intégré au tarif du SPA donc payant. Belle surprise au restaurant de très grande qualité et très bon service à ne pas manquer lors du séjour.

Maleducati e per niente disponibili. Sono andata a Varese per un matrimonio partendo dalla Puglia. Ho chiesto di poter avere la stanza alle 14.Ora del check in per potermi cambiare d'abito prima della cerimonia che era nel pomeriggio. MI hanno risposto che non potevano garantire dato che di suite ne hanno solo una che sarebbe stata pronta per le 14.Da osservare che non avevo chiesto ol check in anticipato ma solo che fosse rispettato quello ufficiale da loro stabilito. Ho inoltre dovuto lasciare il ricevimento perché loro non sono stati disposti ad accettare documenti via mail, la stanza era stata già pagata con carta, dunque ho lasciato il ricevimento per fare check in entro le 21.Non finisco qui il.giorno dopo chiedo di usare la spa che apriva alle 10 ed era inclusa nel prezzo pagato, scendo ed è spenta ...mi viene detto : lei alle 11 deve lasciare la stanza! ..la stessa stanza che alle 14 il giorno prima non era disponibile per me che l'avevo pagata!...inoltre mentre ero a colazione mi vengono chiesti i documenti dopo che il giorno precedente avevo dovuto lasciare il ricevimento nel pieno del suo svolgimento pet portarglieli!..bel posto ma neppure se fosse l'ultimo disponibile ci ritornerei!

We booked a lot of time in advance two suits for two couples. Upon arrival. Since no restaurant on site was available, we asked for glasses and some cutlery in order to have a snack and some wine on the terrace. Service was reluctant. Location very nice and we booked best suits. After dinner on the terrace we went into other suite. There was an unbearable stench in the room. No aircon , nor any ventilation. No solution for stench was offered. Besides that , room lighting was not working partially. Water temperature in shower could not be maintained, it was either freezing or boiling no matter what you did. Room was insect infested no nets. Our demand to leave the next morning on the account of inadequate room was met first with total refusal, then with demand for one additional night paid as fine for leaving sooner even though the room given was totally unacceptable. We eventually paid for a night we did not spend there just to be rid of this hotel and of the horribly un service oriented couple who run it. Truly bad experience. Beware!

Wir waren zu unserem Jahrestag dort und das Hotel an sich war sehr schön. Aber die Leute da vorallem der besitzer ist eine katastrophe..! wir haben dieses Hotel gebucht wegen des pools! nun der pool war defekt und sie habe sich nicht mal die mühe gemacht uns eine mail zu schicken damit wir die chance gehabt hätten für etwas anderes zu schauen. Wir haben mit der Dame an der rezeption gesprochen ob wir geld zurück bekommen.. weil schliesslich hätten wir diese reise nicht gemacht ohne pool. sie hat uns gesagt man kann etwas machen und am nächsten tag war der Herr an der rezeption und wollte uns nichts zurück geben. Dann hat er meine Rezesion gesehen und das wir mit booking geschrieben haben. Dann hat er meinem Partner angerufen und gesagt was das soll, mein freund hat ihm alles erklärt und der Herr hat meinem Freund gesagt „ ich wünsche ihnen ein glückliches und gesundes leben, aber eigentlich meine ich genau das gegenteil!“ Und das sagt alles über diesen Mann aus!

Lake Maggiore
The hotel and staff are lovely. The views from the room and the terrace across the lake are incredible and very easy to get in to Laveno with free parking Mon to Fri (pay weekends). The ferry from Laveno to Intra is cheap and regular, and connecting to other ferries to other destinations is very easy and cheap. The breakfast offers much choice and the food from both restaurants on site is fabulous. La Tavola experience was amazing with dish after dish being impeccable in presentation and flavour. Highly recommend staying here
