The Lava Hotel

The hotel is located in main downtown so you can walk to everywhere . The room is spacious but kinda dated. The hotel has their own hot pool but we definitely recommend to go to the public hot spring pool. It’s worth it.

We’ve stayed at the Lava Hotel (Courtyard View) twice, and will do so again when we get a good rate. They are a very short drive from the main office and convenient to the hot spring pool. The rooms at this location are pretty basic/ no frills. Our room was very clean, although the building and rooms could use some painting/ maintenance. The wall-unit AC drowned out most exterior sounds. Our room had plenty of electrical outlets. No closet, but there were wall hooks that worked for us. Check-in was easy and the staff friendly and helpful. Our room had a small fridge and microwave, but no coffee maker. (We knew to bring our own for the second trip.) Parking is tight and limited for these rooms. Our bed was firm, but comfy and clean. The location is perfect for walking the town. (There is even a back path to a great Bar & Grill, where you can get good food, seated right on the River.) Our bathroom was large, with a wall-mounted hair drier and a garden tub/shower with good pressure and hot water. The towels and washcloths were good sized and soft/absorbent. The WiFi signal is not very good for these rooms, but is probably much stronger if you move toward the office. Our courtyard had an outdoor table and three metal chairs. There is a courtyard for each of these rooms, but they are along the common walkway to the rooms. If you enjoy being friendly to others who pass by, this can be a bonus. The hot spring pool, next to the river, is cleaned twice a week. We prefer this pool (open 5am -mid nite) over the tourist springs nearby, as you can bring your own beverages and come and go as you like.

Ok motel Older motel and run down. Painting and new tub needed to upgrade. Poor water pressure from shower. The bed was very comfortable Great location to Hot Springs

Lava Tiny Home Bliss We stayed here for the first time and I will continue to do so in the future. We stayed in Tiny Home #5 and it was perfect w/ great scenery. The person hot pool was so cool to have 60 seconds away! We were very impressed!

You had to walk a distance to the hot pool. There wasn't any spare blankets, the table was wobbly & couldn't use it for eating purposes. No other place to sit down orher than the bed. The bathroom was great, nice tub & spacious, plenty of towels. No toilet paper holder. Tv service was so, so. Only could watch a few channels other than pay per view.
