If you can, avoid booking on Trip/Expedia as the resort doesn’t get to collect the fees paid through those services!
I’ve had the most magical stay at Wayalailai, don’t think twice, just book your stay! 😍 Also bear in mind that on top of accommodation you have to pay obligatory $80/day for meals.

We initially visited this establishment to have a few beers and assess the atmosphere before deciding whether to book a stay for a few nights. Our group of six gathered for a farewell drink for a friend. After seating ourselves at an empty table, the manager, whom I believe is named Losalini, approached us and abruptly stated, “You can stay for 15 minutes, then you need to leave.” We were shocked and taken aback, especially since there were at least two other empty tables, and we had every intention of ordering more drinks. This unwelcoming experience left a lasting negative impression, leading me to book my accommodation elsewhere. Unfortunately, this was the worst hospitality experience I’ve had in Fiji.

Excellent place to stay.
Wayalailai is a great place. Its lunch was better than Barefoot Manta.
Avoid staying a Sunday because there are no activities.
We snorkled with reef sharks, but would have scuba if Dive Master was present. We stayed 2 nights.

Very nice accommodation, especially for a small budget. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Food was good but I preferred Fijian dishes instead of the international meals.
Large reef directly at the beach. Reef shark snorkelling is an absolute recommendation and scuba diving with Sau from the island‘s diving school Yasawa Tropical Diver as well.
The Sunrise / Sunset hike is great, too.
Our Bure was clean and well maintained, it even had mosquito nets.
Food price is 80 FJD/day, meals are served buffet style.
I would absolutely recommend to stay at Waya Lailai.

Experiencia maravilhosa. Quartos em frente ao mar.
Pessoas simpáticas. Comida boa e variada todos os dias.
Refeições às 8:00, 12:00, 15:00 e 19:00 (80 FJD por dia).
Fiz visita à aldeia (40 JFD) e subi ao Rochedo (30 JFD).

Absolutely brilliant experience. Felt like we were part of a family. Great food, great conversations. Can one ask for more!!! The people are absolutely amazing, they fill the place with laughter, happiness and warmth. The set up is such that it gets people together, encourages conversations. We spent New Year's Eve there and had a wonderful evening with great music, dancing and singing.

TaiLo and the team offer guests an amazing Fijian experience! Be greeted by beautiful live music which you will enjoy throughout duration of your stay. Fun activities available such as reef snorkelling, hiking and village visit, or just relax in the hammocks and go snorkelling right off the beach. Delicious Fijian food with lots of gluten free options. The team go out of their way to share their beautiful culture and island home. Fantastic option for those who are content with a simple holiday and wanting to connect with Fijian spirit. We really didn't want to leave! :)
