This resort is such a special place. It is community owned, and the community has done such an amazing job of cultivating a space that is social, welcoming, and fun. The food was wonderful and the staff provided many vegetarian options. The beach is incredible, and there is so much coral right in front of the hotel where you can snorkel. The sunset hike was amazing, as was the visit to the village. Every night we got to enjoy kava with some of the staff and members of the community, which was very special. We also got to learn so much about Fijian culture from the manager Tylo. I cannot recommend this place enough - it was a life changing experience! Special thank you to Tylo, Mela, and Mosii for making us feel so welcome and comfortable.

Very nice accommodation, especially for a small budget. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Food was good but I preferred Fijian dishes instead of the international meals. Large reef directly at the beach. Reef shark snorkelling is an absolute recommendation and scuba diving with Sau from the island‘s diving school Yasawa Tropical Diver as well. The Sunrise / Sunset hike is great, too. Our Bure was clean and well maintained, it even had mosquito nets. Food price is 80 FJD/day, meals are served buffet style. I would absolutely recommend to stay at Waya Lailai.
