Located just a few steps from the Gimmelwald cable car station, the hostel provides a homy atmosphere but no private rooms. As a hostel, you sleep alongside strangers in bunk beds lined up next to each other. In the room where me and my wife stayed, we shared it with around 10 more persons. If you are not used to this set up, this may not be the place for you. Also, bathrooms are shared/unisex. Otherwise, the place is good. You can cook your own food if you want, just wash the pans/plates that you used which is not a big deal. Their pizza which they are noted for is just awesome, very good. They have a patio where you can enjoy your drinks. I would go back to this place.

After a long day of hiking in the wilderness this spot got us quenched and fed! The apple drink was not very good but the pizza was actually really satisfying. And you cannot beat the scenery and the little booth! For a lunch stop you don’t have many Gimmelwald options but this was a good stop

We felt immediately at home. Janine from the staff was very friendly. She brought us fine drinks and a homemade muffin with cream, which was delicious. Perfect place to unwind after the crowded day in the funicular, with hammocks and lounge chairs. There's also 52 beds during the summer. Highly recommended 👍🏼 😀

Just one word....Perfect ! The staff awesome, super pizza (you can create your own recipe !), we had also live music, nice view, clean and comfortable ! Torneremo sicuramente !
