Plaza Hotel is a Great Place to Stay. The Rich History and Ambiance of this 1880's building is truly amazing. The staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The room was warm and comfortable, although not a 21'st century "user friendly" modern shoebox layout. The 16' ceilings in our room really opened up the space. All of the furniture and fixtures are period piece antiques. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We also want to give a "Shout-Out" to the Newly Re-Opened Plaza Grill and Restaurant..!! Friday Morning the 27th of June was their reopening day and their Breakfast was AMAZING..!! Both the spicy Green Chili sauce on the Breakfast Burrito and the dusky Red Sauce on the Smothered Tamale were Delicious. True New Mexico Traditional Sauces and cuisine. We were visited at our table by Theresa Diaz the Restaurant Manager who was genuinely warm and interested in providing a stellar experience at the Plaza and served by our friendly and very nice server Brittany..!! The only negative to our experience was the Elevator was out-of-service and the Stairways to the second level is LOOONNNGG..! (Our Desk Clerk offered to bring our Luggage up for us...!) Hopefully the elevator will be repaired by the time of our next visit. We are planning on hopefully visiting again in the fall when the Plaza Tavern re-opens.

For an old hotel, it was durable. Yes, the elevator was still broken, but they offered to help us with our bags. The hallways are very wide and the bathroom was big too. We parked on the street. No coffee pots in the rooms, but they did have coffee at the front. The room was clean and quiet.

We booked two rooms for one night. The hotel has very large rooms with wide hallways and high ceilings. It is interesting from a historic point of view. However, it is in need of some care. The restaurant and bar in the hotel are shut down. The elevator was not working so we had to carry our luggage by hand up the stairs. The rooms did not have air conditioning, this was the most inconvenient aspect of our stay. Both rooms were very hot and there was no air conditioning available at the time, not even a ceiling fan to cool down the room. We were looking forward to our first time stay at this hotel but unfortunately we will not be back and we cannot recommend it to friends or family.

I have stayed at the Plaza Hotel in Downtown Vegas three times in the past year. Since I am paralyzed & in a wheelchair, I request the same ADA Accessible Room in the North Tower. My specific room request is always accommodated -- usually by the finest Front Desk hotel employee who has ever checked me in by the name of Marlette. Not only does Marlette ensure everything is taken care of for me on my arrival, but she brightens each day with her sweet smile, friendly greeting, good humor & laughter when I come & go on Fremont Street. The Plaza provides easy access to Fremont Street and the hotel's many amenities & eateries are easily accessible with my wheelchair. Plan to put any diet on hold and indulge in the pleasures of Pinkbox Donuts adjacent to the main lobby. The hotel security is always available and visible at the Plaza which adds to my feeling of personal safety on the property. The Plaza also offers an excellent William Hill Sportsbook with the best sportsbook employee in the country a longtime employee named Michael.

Front desk! Marlette at the front desk made for a most enjoyable vacation with her kindness and compassion to myself and my friends! Provided all the information needed about hotel and Vegas itself! Just a friendly person and understanding of the needs and desires of her guests!

Website was inaccurate—-restaurant is not open on Monday or Tuesday—-so update website! Also mention water contamination so guests are fully informed before booking. Overall hotel room had comfortable bed, was quiet & large. Toilet flushing iffy. Gorgeous 1880s hotel building but overall town depressing (except for college) with vacant buildings everywhere.

My stay was wonderful. The room was cozy and very comfortable. The staff made me feel like family. They bent over backwards to make sure my stay was great. I recommend the bar and restaurant for great food and drinks. The service was excellent and the prices reasonable.

We stayed one night at the Plaza on our way to Mexico. The owners of the building should be more than proud. The 1880's hotel has been refurbished, and was a joy to stay in. We had a second floor, pet friendly, King bed room with a non-plaza view. Everything was great. Our room was near the staircase, and also the elevator, but it was oh so quiet. We took advantage of the $5 Happy Hour at the Saloon in the hotel. The selection of craft beers wasn't huge, but every style was well-represented. The hotel offered complimentary coffee from 5 - 7 am. A limited time, sure, but the coffee and breakfast sweets counter opened at 7, so it wouldn't be right to handout free coffee. The spacious room with incredible high ceilings was very comfortable - a small sofa and a dorm-sized fridge. The pet fee was only 10$ per dog, a nice change from some hotels that charge 25-35 per pet. Since you are in the middle of town, road noise from I-25 is not an issue. Be aware that if you are checking out on a school morning between 7:30 and 8 there is an elementary school nearby with quite a bit of drop off traffic as you are trying to get to the Interstate.
