Super location, nice park, nice pool and very nice beach. But, lack of hot water to shower, lack of steady Wi fi, poor light and storage in the bathroom, no table in room etc. Good breakfast, and since a year a nice, but expensive, restaurant at the beach. The rates are confusing too, from nice and middle to extremely high for the quality.

I had a great stay at Turtle Lagoon Beach, the owner and his personnel were very attentive. I found out that some young kids had an issue with the hotel and they left negative reviews which are all unfounded. The hotel has the best setting for breakfast at Playa Bonita right in front of the beach. The room is cozzy with good AC and hot shower. We did not use the TV yet it had the channels that most would want. If you want to be within walking distance to great restaurants or just relax at the beach, this hotel is great and will be a good venue to explore the rest of Samana. It certainly deserves better ratings and that is why I want to make sure that other visitors get to enjoy this nice hotel.

We loved our stay here and would recommend! My friends and I booked a hostel 15 minutes inland and the area was not what we thought. We ended up calling around and they had a room available for us here at Turtle Lagoon with a 5 minute notice. The room was clean, they were accommodating of us not being able to speak their language, breakfast was great, and the service was outstanding. The air conditioning worked very well too if you like A/C. Even better is the LOCATION! Absolutely perfect. You are close to the end of Playa Bonita so it will be quiet when you are trying to sleep but you are still very close to restaurants and bars. The waves are fun for surfing and the locals are very friendly. There is “So Beach Club” at the end of the property on the beach with good food and a nice spot to relax. I think they also offer morning yoga/relaxation sessions right next door/semi attached to the beach club. There is also a very clean and nice pool and lounge chairs to take advantage of! Tener en cuenta que las habitaciones son basicas, no hay siquiera un pequeño refrigerador. El area de la propiedad en general es buena, se ve bien mantenida.
