We have been coming here for a few years with a group of disabled veterans and the staff have been super accommodating in the classes. Shout out to the French instructor Stephane who has been doing the Workout of the day and also METCON giving us exercises for all ranges and also disability’s if you not done a class with him I would highly recommend. Also great instructors this year who have made the trip extra special Elka with yoga Jonna stretching and pond Kitty boxing The resort is super clean and enjoyable to be around with so much going on. We still have a few days left but I would highly recommend attending classes and and trying something new.

We recently stayed 10 days at Playitas Hotel as a couple with our 5 years old son. I really like the place very much and I have been there 9-10 times over the last 10 years in different set-ups (single/friends/family), all of us combining the interest in demanding (strenght & cardio) trainings, qualified instructors and improving own skills (technical & physical). Over the last decade, quality of instructors and as an outcome of this, quality of trainings significantly decreased, substituted by more or less motivated and skilled guest instructors (we can‘t speak for any dance/yoga/pilates…. workouts) with one exception Stephane. Stephane is a highly professional instructor, performing world-class trainings. He explains the relevant technical background for the exercises and focuses on the entire body including nutrition, workout and recovery. You step out of each of Stephane’s training, having challenged yourself to the maximum, improved your own strenght/cardio and technical skills and this is basically the reason for me always leaving the place happy and probably also coming back again. In addition, food quality came down over the last years as well. Food is still good, but every time I come back, food is prepared with less effort or it disappeared completely from the menu, which is otherwise repeated every 7-8 days. It is important for us to mention the motivated and friendly staff during breakfast and dinner and at the reception as well as the perfectly cleaned rooms every day. Many thanks for this. It makes me sad to see and experience, what happened to Playitas, over the last decade and owner/management should bethink of what they brand Playitas for: „Europe‘s best sports resort“. This place has a lot of potential.

I really like Playitas, let’s get that straight. I’ve been here 6 times in total over the last 3 years, and I am leaving happy every time. BUT
The quality of their food has gone significantly down and so has the instructors.
I like to workout using my entire body, in many different ways but mainly focusing on the cardio and strength, so I can’t speak for all the dancing / yoga classes. The only reason I want to come back every time, is because of the trainer called Stephane. He is, by far, the best instructor and is probably the only reason I wanna come back so often. You can tell by his workouts, that he is both the most intelligent of instructors and also the most experienced.
Every single time I go to his workout, I know there is going to be options to train like a world class athlete, but also to learn a lot about my current capabilities. Many of the others instructors are not skilled enough, and the last two trips I’ve had, I’ve actually walked out of multiple workouts, because the instructor clearly wasn’t prepared or even seemed like they cared. As for the food, it’s still quite good, but every time I come back, I can predict what’s on the menu, since they have clearly started to just recycle the same 7-10 meals each week. Writing this review, I just finished my 6th trip, and both me and my partner had 48+ hours taken away from us, due to bacteria in the food, which left us bedridden and unable to contain any substances. During this same stay, some of their own staff had illness related to their food as well. It’s a shame when the place brands itself as “Europe’s best sports resort”, because the food doesn’t live up to that, and only Stephane can make that branding stay.
If he leaves, the place needs to rebrand itself as “Europe’s best family and dance resort”.

The Good The resort is modern and spotlessly clean, with lovely manicured gardens around it. There's a wide variety of sports - definitely something for everyone. The rooms are clean, well maintained, modern and very comfortable with good facilities. The staff are all very nice and very helpful. All the pools are very nice, clean and with more than enough sun loungers to go around. The black sand beach is very nice. The resort is large, so you never feel cooped up like you can do on other smaller resorts. There is the choice of two buffet restaurants, a pool bar, an a la carte restaurant and then three small local restaurants in the little fishing village attached (a 10 min walk away). The Not so Good: For the large majority of the sports you need to book. There is an app where you can see the day's schedule, but you are not able to see how many places there are available nor book online. To book you need to go to the booking office (in the sports clothing shop in the middle of the resort) and book in person. You can only book a class 24 hours in advance. The popular classes get booked up VERY quickly, meaning if you want to join the class you're going to have to get up very early the day before and head to the booking office 24 hours before to try to get a spot (this is not very relaxing on a holiday). This also means that you have no hope of booking the popular classes on your first day. It is pretty annoying to have to keep walking to the booking office only to be told that the class you would like is already fully booked. The booking is done by writing your name down on a list on a bit of paper (very un-tech). The place is generally short staffed. There was only one or two people at the pool bar, which meant at lunchtime there were very long queues and a one hour wait to get your lunch after ordering. The staff work very hard, but there's just not enough of the them. It was the same for the jazz evening. After waiting for 30 mins we gave up on trying to order a drink. At the pool, if you don't want to drink your drink in the pool bar (and instead drink it by your sun lounger/elsewhere), then you have to pay 1 euro for a plastic cup per drink. You can reuse the cup, but it means you need to wash it and remember to take it with you when ordering your next drink. This is MEGA annoying, as after queuing for ages to get a drink, you then remember you've forgotten your plastic cup and have the choice of either paying ad additional 1 euro per drink again, or going and getting your cup and queuing up again. The resort says it's to help the environment, but clearly this is not, it's so they don't have to hire more staff to collect classes around the pool. It's good to note that there are two ends of the resort, one which is more of a hotel and the other end which has mini apartments. Each end has it's own pool and buffet restaurant. The hotel side tends to be more couples and the mini apartments more families. If yo

Very nice location for sports, sunny, nice pools, friendly staff. Great coaches, in particular Stephane, he showed some great techniques for overall fitness, strength and insights on how I can improve my training and regeneration. Areas of improvement for the location: Swimming Pool should open earlier (6:30 or 7 am) in the summer months so we can get more training before breakfast.

First of all: we have never been on holiday in the same place twice, not even thinking of the same hotel! But here at Playitas it is different, we are total fans of the whole concept. The facility is great, the food is top notch and the best thing are the coaches who work here. We would particularly like to highlight Stephane Bacchellerie (former professional triathlete) because he makes a sustainable difference with his encyclopedic knowledge and his trained eye for the right posture. Even professional athletes we have met confirm the high quality of his classes. He is one of the main reasons why we have booked for the third time and are really looking forward to our training camp with sun, good food and nice active people.
