Layiotis Hotel Apartments

Rooms: Rooms were described as spacious, clean, and comfortable, often featuring kitchens with sinks, fridges, and basic appliances . Air-conditioning and wardrobes were commonly noted.

There is renovation work currently going on across the building, and I had a chance to view some of the newly refurbished apartments. They looked great. I chose to stay on a floor not impacted by builders in order to receive a calmer environment. My apartment was not so great - in fact it was very outdated and run down - but that was my choice, and I suspect this apartment would not normally be offered to guests in its current condition. Breakfast was advertised as available for a small fee, but upon arrival I was told that breakfast was no longer an option due to EU bureaucratic regulations. The staff were kind enough however to move a microwave into my apartment kitchen. The apartment was on the whole quite spacious, but rather chilly in the main living area - and also the bathroom - as the only heating source was fixed in the bedroom. The car parking was under the hotel, and a little tight to manoeuvre in and out of. I have to say that the staff were on the whole extremely pleasant, gracious and welcoming.
