We were a long term stay due to water damage in my house. During our long term stay of over a month, housekeeping came to my room exactly twice and my daughter’s room exactly never. We ended up washing our own linens and towels because even when we asked housekeeping to clean the rooms, they never did. Imagine a carpet not being vacuumed for OVER A MONTH! With children and pets! Sorry but this is disgusting and probably a health code violation. Short staffed or not. Are we supposed to purchase vacuums and do it ourselves just like the laundry? Maybe we should get paid for doing the work of the staff. Then they are trying to charge me damages and extra cleaning fees. While I was there, there were also long term guests from Amazon staying there. We met and became friends during the socials. They also have stories, and are willing to collaborate things such as the linen closet not being locked (safety violation) and guests going in there to get their own linens. Then, before they even sent me a bill for alleged damages, tried to charge my bank card. When the first (full) amount didn’t go through, they reduced it in increments of 25 or 50 until they finally got an amount to work. I forwarded my complaints and concerns to corporate, was given a case number, yet they STILL KEEP CALLING, trying to collect money from me. I have zero interest in speaking to any of them. Let’s talk next about the electrical issues. I had to change rooms because the circuits kept popping every time the microwave would turn on. The last time it happened, I smelled plastic burning. Then there was the incident of a clogged toilet that took 3 entire days to get to. After repeated requests for maintenance. I finally went down and asked for a plunger to do it myself and then suddenly there was a staff member to do it. The pool was closed more than open. The food was sometimes embarrassing to call food (dehydrated chicken jerky anyone?) There were cars that got broken into and drunk guests loudly fighting in the hallways. And not ONCE was I ever anything but polite and kind to the staff. And yet, even though they made a really good amount from insurance, even though our rooms were never cleaned, even though there were a ton of issues during our stay, they are greedily trying to take my money too. If you have to stay somewhere long term, please look at other options. This place is not up to what you would expect from Hilton.
