We stayed at Opossum Creek Retreat, Cabin Over the Hill, June 2025. Based on the online pictures and description, this cabin is highly underrated. It's nestled deep into the woods with complete privacy, yet easy to get to. It's clean and comfortable. The kitchen has all the cookware and utensils one would need. The hot tub is wonderful. It's located on the deck surrounded by the woods with complete privacy. The toilet and shower are in separate rooms making it more convenient when more than one person is staying there. The host goes out of their way to make you feel at home. And it's in a great location, central to everything this beautiful gorge has to offer. I highly recommend.

Stayed in the El Gordo cabin on a recent trip to WV. 4 adults. Cabin was clean and well appointed with everything you need for your stay. If you’re a coffee drinker bring ground coffee. Home baked cookies were on the table when we arrived. ASIC cabin rooms with two small bathrooms. Large screened in porch with hot tub ( did not use ). Would definitely recommend

Cozy cabin in the woods
Beautiful cabin with hot tub that was super kid friendly and the owner was so sweet and amazing with answering any questions I had, we will definitely be back!!

I would recommend this retreat to anyone our cabin was clean ,stocked with everything you needed it was so private and peaceful no noise or any nonsense Cabin was so cozy and the hot tub was amazing our family will be returning in late spring ...

The property was very clean. I loved the communication ahead of time and the notes left at the property for arrival and departure. I didnt have to reach out with questions at all. Lots to do in the area. Hotub and views were great.

We stayed in a small but well maintained and stocked cabin with a hot tub on a screened in porch overlooking the forest. A very nice cabin and a beautiful setting. The property is less then a 10 minute drive from the New River Gouge National Park Headquarters. It's close to many great hiking trails.
