I did a lot of research, so I thought I would see "this is it!" everywhere, but I was impressed far beyond my imagination.
It was well maintained, which is hard to believe for a hotel that has been around for over 20 years, and the staff were very unique and enjoyed their work, which was also fun.
The breakfast had so many options that I never got bored even though I stayed for four nights. I tried the staff's recommendations and tried the daily specials, and my smile never stopped.
The only disappointment was the weather and not being able to see any sea turtles.
The weather was not quite clear, so...
I went snorkeling at the spot three times, but still couldn't see any sea turtles...
It was quite disappointing, but I still had fun seeing various fish and having a full moon dinner.

We really enjoyed the butler service that Gili provided. They call butler “Mr. Friday”. Our Mr. Friday, Mr. Mifi, is amazing. He took care of all our issues, from booking dinners to booking spa and tennis class.

My host Shaani literally made my experience the most amazing experience I've ever encountered. She went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable. This resort is one of the most amazing resorts l've ever experienced. From the food, to the outstanding staff. The restaurant captain Wabbe always catered to our needs. I'll never forget this place

Had the most amazing experience celebrating our 10 year anniversary. Gili is literally like paradise. We stayed in a villa with a pool and it was heavenly seeing the sunrise every morning. We loved the fact that they had a bespoke plant based menu, being vegetarian they had clearly put a lot of thought to the menu and the food every day was delicious. The chefs were also able to cater to whatever we required. The service levels were brilliant, we were assigned a Mrs Friday - KK who was always there for us whatever we needed and always had a smile on her face. At the restaurants we were always treated warmly and kindly especially by Ameen and Alicia! Thanks so much for making our holiday so enjoyable! Highly recommend this resort, another plus is that it’s only a 15 min speed boat to the airport!

Gilli island is without the best experiences I’ve ever had . The staff the villas the food in actual fact I tried to find fault and couldn’t find one. I would like to thank one special lady Rayaa our Friday. She was amazing I can’t thank you enough for what you done. Xxxxx
