Bamboo Cottage Langkawi

Hallo, My husband and I discovered this authentic rustic spot, nestled nearby the nature but in the same time close to the restaurants and the sea. We really had an enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing stay in this exceptional setting for 2 weeks. Very peaceful and quiet location with the upper roof space for the morning exercise and gorgeous pool accomplished with the small waterfall in its surrounding. The outside social zone consist of the small kitchen corner and the sitting area where you can eat and meet interesting people :-) Rooms are pretty basic but that place offered us exactly what we needed. Rooms are a bit dark and dingy, cleanliness could be better in the rooms. The pool and outside space is great, but it would be nice to have some uncovered sun loungers for us who like to sun bathe. Can be noisy at times especially if you get the rooms that face the car park.

Pros: - clean - next to the nature - nice swimming pool - smooth check-in - room comes with air conditioner and ceiling fan Cons: - very saggy and thin mattress (back pain!) - noisy corridor in front of the room - very basic furniture in the room - gloomy room with no view - a bit overpriced for what you get

The hotel is pretty basic , but has a nice atmosphere. I found the bed a bit uncomfortable and didn’t like the fact that you had to sleep directly under a thin blanket, but we managed. The common area next to the pool is a nice place to eat your breakfast and just to hang out and mingle with other guests, if you feel like it. Celia does a great job running the place, she’s very nice and helpful. Good and drinks are by way of honor system, but there are enough restaurants within walking distance to choose from if you don’t feel like using the provided options.

Perfect place to feel the nature vibes but close enough to restaurants n bars. The architecture of the cottage is one of a kind n Salt water swimming pool is just amazing. Host is super friendly n helpful

Let's start with the property itself, it's greatly located a little bit hidden but just off the main road so it's always nice and peaceful and still easy to get to places. The amazing salt water pool is a huge and a welcome relief when you get back at the end of the day exploring the island. Talking about exploring, don't worry about booking a scooter rental as you can do this through the hotel and yes you might pay a little bit more (we paid 40 ringgit per day) but it gets delivered and picked up at the hotel and the scooters are in great condition. The room is very spacious and with all the bamboo the design is really cool. Shower has hot water if you want/need it. There's free coffee and tea and filtered water in the common area, plus some cooking equipment if you don't want to eat out. Celia the owner of Bamboo Cottage is the best host you can imagine. She organised the scooter for us, gave us a thousand tips on what to do on the island and where to eat/drink (which made our stay 1000x more enjoyable) and was just generally nice to sit down and chat with. If you're looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful and well designed space then don't hesitate and book Bamboo Cottage!
