This is potentially a great hotel. Just now, it feels a bit like a work in progress but this isn’t a negative comment. We understand that there have been issues with staffing and all credit to the management that they have focused on staff training for the new intake. We love the decor and found the young staff to be keen and focused. We booked for an inclusive dinner, bed and breakfast stay and because of that, didn’t initially pay any attention to the meal prices. However, in isolation, they are eye wateringly expensive and maybe we should be more critical. However, the food quality is superb and my only criticism, therefore, is that there should be a change in the menu every night. We stayed for four nights and I was a tad disappointed with the ongoing choices. Would we come back? Yes, most definitely, because I truly believe that this hotel is moving in the right direction and has a great deal to offer.

Welcoming professional staff very clean everywhere and excellently furnished to a very high standard. Whilst Pet friendly as is normal they are not allowed in the restaurant for example and in this case limits the menu on offer pet owners may experience. We were however very fortunate to experience food by Head Chef Jack on this occasion and we are grateful he was able to accommodate us

Arrival was most welcoming and we thought our three night stay was going to be incredible, bedroom (bigger room😉) comfortable, but en-suite very compact. Welcome tray on arrival with freshly baked cookies a nice touch😊- but only first day! Dined first evening, beautifully presented but served on cold plates & felt our feedback was not welcome. Breakfast mediocre - staff training required. Terrace drinks good but complimentary nuts/crisps would have encouraged us to stay & order more.

Good hotel but not worth the money. I’ve stayed in expensive hotels like this many times and whilst it’s a nice hotel, in my opinion it’s not worth the price tag. There were nice touches but for the price, the rooms felt very clinical, had the standard hotel fire doors, lacked personality, and the duvets and pillows were cheap and didn’t ooze the luxury you expect. The service at breakfast was incredibly slow and it took 15 mins before someone came over to take our coffee orders. The orange juice wasn’t fresh, which I very much would expect from a luxury hotel, and my breakfast took 20 mins to come and when it did was quite nice, but the eggs and hash browns were overcooked and there was a pitiful amount of beans. The rooms on the ground floor have seating directly outside where people are drinking in the courtyard, and the swimming pool is small and you have to book it for solo use so the idea of it being a 'spa' isn't quite right. Nice hotel, if it had been half the price I would’ve been ok paying, but for the price tag I would stay somewhere else.

We enjoyed a wonderful two night stay at this delightful, luxury, boutique style hotel near the beautiful north Norfolk coast. Will definitely return and cannot recommend it highly enough. Excellent service, lovely Big Plus room, delicious food and enjoyed the spa. Spotlessly clean and very well run.

Lovely Hotel and staff in a beautiful location. Lacked a few basics like a shower hat in the bathroom. Comfortable beds and fantastic breakfast. BUT the dining experience in the evening let the whole place down. I am vegetarian and was very surprised at the total lack of food on offer. To say it was poor was an understatement. Flavourless, lacked any imagination, poor ingredients. It felt like the chef could not be bothered. Such a shame.

Friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble they were very accommodating, lovely well kept hotel with plenty of character. We had the beef tenderloin in the restaurant and it was sublime, lots of nice lounging areas and a beautiful little courtyard area as well. We enjoyed the complimentary private use of the spa and opted to have back massages which was so relaxing. Overall experience was 10/10
