We booked directly with the hotel, not a third party. We had to make repeat phone calls to the front desk that the air conditioning in the room was not working. The evening shift desk agent brought us a fan and apologized. There was no offer for alternate rooms, refund or discount. Do not recommend.

We have stayed at the Fairview on multiple occassions. However, this year we had issues. The Door Key never worked from the 1st day to the last day of our stay and we had indicated to the front desk, maintenance person and various people. The Condo needs updating (removal of old dirty carpets and a few updates in Livingroom Furniture (very old, dirty & outdated). Cleaning Services was not done on a daily basis and we had to ask for sweeping and no vaccuuming done whatsoever. Found the place very dark and not as clean as our previous stays. Too bad because the outside surroundings were quiet. Also the Golf course was not in good order at Bear Mountain. You can see that this place is in Receivership. Too bad as it was our go to place in BC.

Everything was very nice. Clean, spacious room. Staff friendly. Just one small negative. We arrived one hour prior to check-in and was sent away. I do appreciate this policy but the hotel was almost empty and felt that was not necessary.
