+VE Charming, slightly random country-feel layout Super good and friendly staff (take a bow Jaco and Noleen) Rooms well equipped. Extra points for clearly marked shampoo etc Excellent breakfast -VE Towels small and thin - not up to star standard No tissues provided in room Traffic noise from main road nearby could be a slight nuisance Restaurant only stocks JHG wines - a few more local wines would be nice. Rated 4 stars but could easily be 5 with a few small changes

We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Far too short but perfect for a night away. Lovely warm fire, friendly cats, fantastic wine and smiling friendly staff. Lovely room with so much character.

All the luxuries of a boutique hotel with Country charm. Absolutely delightful stay at this picturesque venue among the mountains, vines, pomegranate and pecan nut trees. The staff were very welcoming, accommodating and attentive. The food was delicious & the restaurant has a wonderful ambience.

Such a beautiful place and setting. Staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough. Highly recommend this hotel and you have to dine at Just Amy, the onsite restaurant as it’s fabulous. Our room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Amenities excellent too.

What an unforgettable stay! We stayed in the honeymoon suite and one of the other suites and we had the best time! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food was hearty and the wine exceptional (we should’ve bought more when we left!). It’s such a beautiful farm. It was such a highlight for us after a beautiful few weeks in Namibia. Everyone at Jan Harmsgat makes you feel like a part of the family. Many thanks once again and we’ll definitely be back!

Our stay in Jan Harmsgat was very enjoyable. Most of it was due to the location, which offers some peace and quiet away from everything. The whole farm area is beautifully laid out. In addition to the location, the service was a big plus. The staff were totally lovely and welcoming. We felt very well looked after. The food also deserves all the Michelin stars. One minus point, however, was our room, as we had a few insects in it. There were guests next to us on the first night and we could hear them loudly so we didn't get any sleep. Nevertheless, it was a nice room.
