Cozy little inn, great atmosphere in a rural countryside location. Food was very good, the staff were friendly, and the room was clean. Can’t ask for anything more!

We have recently spent 4 nights at Alma Inn where all the staff, without exception, were helpful, knowledgeable, smiley and courteous. The room was quiet (only sounds were the lambs and the curlew) very comfortable and scrupulously clean. Nothing was too much trouble for staff in making our stay leaving us wanting more. The food was delicious, both breakfast and dinner. We certainly can't wait to go back. Yvonne was very helpful with directions to places we wanted to visited. We loved the atmosphere and surroundings. Thank you.

Worst view we've ever had. We've paid to come to a country inn set in beautiful countryside to look at an old roof. These rooms certainly are not shown on the booking literature. Very disappointing. Refused to move us when we complained, saying that they have no other rooms. Now we're stuck here. Awful! My advice; book somewhere else.

Perfect stay at the Alma. All staff were helpful and nothing was to much trouble. All friendly and personable. Rooms were very spacious with excellent views over the moors. Would highly recommend.

Stunning views to Pendle Hill from our room, friendly staff and an excellent dinner and breakfast. This was a much-needed short getaway and, with a great day’s walking today during which we hardly saw soul, was everything we’d hoped for. We will return.

My wife and I had dinner both evenings of our stay. On the 2nd evening my choice of 7oz fillet steak was unavailable so I opted for 10oz rib eye. Unfortunately the quality of the steak was poor - chewsome to the extreme! Very disappointing.
We have been staying at the Alma for over 40 years and the steak on previous occasions has always been excellent.
