New Forest Lodge

Quite unexpectedly excellent for the money, never thought the room was going to be as freshly updated as it turned out to be, as the decor in these types of stop overs tends to be worn out although clean. Customer service was excellent too as although I planned and called ahead to arrive late, when I couldn't locate my room key following their emailed instructions, the our of h manager answered her mobile and fixed me to them. Thanks - highly recommended!!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. We had an awful experience here. Our room was so hot we could not stay here as it was making my three year old child ill. We were told to sleep with the door open to keep the room cool. We had a three year old child with us!!! Safety is obviously not paramount to this hotel. I also struggled to lock the room and the staff told me “it’s obvious there’s a sign on the door” I said I knew and could lock it from the inside not outside to which she told the family I was with that I was rude and need to watch how I speak. My family were sat outside to try and get fresh, cool air and we’re talking to the laundry man. The front desk asked my family why they were talking to him as he should not be talking to customers. What is wrong with conversation in a day? We phone front desk over 10 times to try to ask for a different room and could not get through. Only when we put out keys in the basket did the front desk lady appear and shouted at us telling us we’d made our minds up and shut the door in our faces. When contacting ******* for a refund they initially agreed to give us our second night of the stay back. However, this never arrived and they have now denied all of this and are refusing to give us one even though we tried to ask for a solution before leaving. The MOST concerning part out of all of this is being told to sleep with the room door open with a three year old child on a corridor full of people you don’t know. DO NOT RECOMMEND. DO NOT STAY HERE

We stayed for 2 nights, family of 3 adults and 2 children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the apartment loft with 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed. The room was clean when we arrived, a cot and highchair was already in the room and there was even a baby blanket which was a lovely touch. My eldest son slept on the sofa bed which was more than adequate for him however I would say this is only suitable for a child. We all slept very well, the beds were comfy and despite it being on the main road it was extremely quiet inside. I will definitely stay here again when we come and visit for our yearly family trip. If you stay during the warmer months then I would suggest bringing a portable fan, the air coolers provided aren’t great but we did bring our own fans and slept with the windows open. Everything you need is provided. A fabulous stay.

Angela was perfect host for our group, communications were great throughout our stay though especially when booking our group of 14 guys with bikes, staying at various rooms within the lodge. All the rooms exceeded our expectations, clean, modern, spacious and everything you needed for a bed only overnighter. Great value considering the prices around the New Forest and a good location as a base for New Forest exploring. (Close to the Landford Poacher pub, 5 minutes walk - food & service excellent). The New Forest Lodge is highly recommended and we will use again when in the area. Thanks !

Awful hotel that was dirty and room was boiling hot. Some of the facilities were not available. Stay with caution. The staff at the front desk were rude and unhelpful, for a hotel that rates itself so highly as a minimum I wild expect a fridge in the room.

clean room as of expected. Own bathroom bath shower nice and clean and hot towels changed as long as you leave them in the bath . TV but had a few times lost picture reception problem. Kettle water tasted strange but had bottle water . No breakfast but microwave and toast making facilities. Indian next door odours of cooking outside had to drive to get to shops ect beautiful area though new forest on doorstep lovely area to see nice to see animals free walking about . Nice pub just a drive up the road serves lovely meals lodge is not manned in the evenings but emergency telephone number supplied overall nice place to stay.

Absolutely awful the owner is a drunk and takes ***** and sells the rooms to people on the streets for £20 I have stayed here and had to leave as it was terrible it’s not safe attal and the rooms has insects crawling around

Had a lovely stay after calling Angela to explain we needed a early check in on day of travelling Angela called to say our rooms were ready and to call about 10 minutes befor arrival so she could meet us at hotel On arrival Angela explained code to get in to hotel and then showed us to our rooms which were both lovely no complaints what so ever yes you can hear people moving about but that’s the same inmost hotels We had a lovely Indian meal at restaurant next door On whole a lovely stay and would not hesitate returning here many thanks for all your help Angela
