Good points- - lovely professional and welcoming staff - food is absolutely sublime - building and grounds are beautiful - very accommodating for pets - a very nice and relaxing stay Areas that could make this hotel go from being very good to great (being picky) : - the bathroom we had in our room wasn't the best in terms of quality and also the shower could do with being made better. - maybe some fresh milk for rooms - better bedding - refresh decor in a few communal areas Overall would definitely come back and recommend to others.

Wedding Anniversary short stay
The hotel and grounds are beautiful, the food and service were excellent.

I have visited this hotel on 3 separate occasions and have always received a warm welcome.the staff are outstanding,accommodating and very friendly nothing is too much trouble for their guests. Since my first visit, there have been changes all for the good, including menu decoration of hotel but the charm of the building is wholly aided by the outstanding staff. I look forward to further visits as I love this part of the country.

Booked this as our wedding venue on the basis that we would have the whole hotel and six months before our wedding (since it has been taken over by new owners) they have informed us that the lounge will be unavailable and one of the hotel rooms itself with no explanation as to why . Very disappointing service. This is overlooking minor points as in name being spelt incorrectly numerous times and emails meant for us going to incorrect email addresses

This is the first time that I have stayed here although I have visited and enjoyed wonderful food and hospitality many times before. This is such a special place that words do not do it full justice. There is a timeless air of elegance and luxury coupled with superb service and kindness from the hosts that make every guest feel very special. The rooms are beautifully equipped and have everything needed for comfort. All of the staff are first class, and the food, particularly the breakfast is amazing. The silence at night means that you sleep soundly and wake refreshed. Many thanks again for looking after me so well.

Fabulous stay as usual. This is a gem of a hotel and location. Having family from this area, The Falcondale has hosted us for many an occasion…birthdays, anniversaries and sadly the wake of my father. The attention to detail, friendship and empathy from everyone has made The Falcondale a little piece of home away from home. Its relaxing, comfortable rooms and views to die for, always makes it hard to leave as I am always so warmly welcomed….The food is great too….. Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else…

Had Sunday lunch here 27th Oct 2024 and it was the worst Sunday lunch I have ever had. They charged £32 for 2 courses and the service was terrible, I had to send my Beef back to reheat as by the time the Veg arrived it was cold. The veg consisted of Carrots, Cauliflower Cheese and a mashed up selection which was unidentifiable. Staff were 3 young girls who hadn't a clue what they were doing and one man, who was wearing jeans and his shirt hanging out. For £32, you expect the best not the rubbish food and service that I received. Will not be back.
