A well spoken woman answered the phone, speaking good English, it was a minute or so into the conversation that I realised that I was talking to a computer!!! I asked to be put through to a human being and the call was transferred. It rang but went to voicemail when it was not answered. I left my contact details, but no-one has returned my call. They do not have an email address shown on their website, only a phone number for you to ring (and speak to a computer). They have lost my custom, which was for a group booking - if you wish to communicate with customers, have an email address and a phone that is answered by a human being, not AI.

Hotel in need of complete renovation, ie windows mostly rotten mould in many places. Our first night there was pleasant and enjoyable. Our second night was a complete disaster ie we waited 1 hr 20 mins for something to eat because the person preparing the food was not enough to us what was in it as my wife may have a allergy to black pepper if it is Sprinked neatly onto her food after cooking, otherwise it’s not a problem ie she eaten 100s of meals that more than likely contained Black pepper. We asked for some tap water for our table,, we didn’t get any so had to ask again. Needless we did not pay for our attractions treatment. We had intended staying an extra bu went home instead.

Have just returned from three nights here as we wanted to spend a couple of days exploring Beamish. What a lovely place! The rooms were well equipped with very comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. The staff were all very friendly but we must give a special mention to Ross in the dining room who was so attentive and helpful.

Everything was amazing apart from the tv didn’t work at all, it wouldn’t have mattered so much but given the location, once the bar closed there was nothing to do. Staff tried to get it to work but couldn’t. Would still go back though as everything else was lovely

Good room & value for money. Nice, big family room, the only drawback is the constant banging of what must be the toilet doors below the room. Maybe some sort of padding on the door frame would be a help. Also, the bathroom windows could be better cleaned. That all said, we would stay there again.
