Hotel Donizetti

Camera pulita ma datata come la struttura, strano che sia un quattro stelle. La colazione é da migliorare. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Per una sola notte va bene. Nelle vicinanze non vi é nulla, per andare a Bergamo bisogna utilizzare la macchina.

Se avete bisogno di una notte di riposo e vi trovate in zona può andare ma di stelle ne darei 2. Il tempo sembra essersi fermato agli anni 80, la colazione inaccettabile, si salva solo l’educazione delle due ragazze presenti in reception e a colazione, il minimo sindacale

I'm just telling you that it's not worth the 4 stars. Shower without hot water, drain not working, to prevent the water from invading the bathroom they decided to put an aluminum border. The breakfast was terrible, they serve the biscuits in the original packaging. The friendly breakfast and reception staff do everything they can to please the customers. The bedroom wardrobe was ruined. We need to invest in the structure

My wife and I stayed at the Donizetti hotel. I don't want to dwell on breakfast because it would be like shooting at the Red Cross, but I would like to describe our misadventure. Starting from the premise that a 4-star hotel should have a night porter, but from 10pm there is no one left. During check-in we were given a code to open a secondary entrance, but not the right instructions to do so. Unable to enter, my wife called the number at the entrance. We were answered by a rude and arrogant man who allowed himself to say "F*ck off" and hang up in our faces without giving the right instructions. The next day we find out that the person we spoke to is the director. ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

The structure is a little dated and in the process of decay, it is not possible that the reception closes at 10pm and there is no one available during the night. The positive notes are the girl at the reception of Chinese origins who did everything to solve the problem of the room not being ready and the cleanliness of the room, the rest is totally to be reviewed and reorganized.

My impression is that this hotel does its honest job for those who are passing through to/from the airport (from which it is about a 5 minute drive); Despite this, I believe that, applying the standard with which people classify hotels, 4 stars is excessive. The rooms are adequately spacious and furnished (we didn't understand if the air conditioning was working); the beds are comfortable; the bathroom is functional. Breakfast, however, is definitely a no-go: a good cappuccino is contrasted by a "miserable" table, where there are a couple of packaged tarts, two packs of biscuits (at least they could be put in some tray and not left in the packages.. .), a few slices of ham/cheese, a few croissants and little else. The other apparently strange situation is that we (almost) saw no staff: the person at the reception (also very friendly) was the same one who took care of the breakfasts. This hotel didn't particularly impress me, but it's fine for spending a night.
