We had a very nice stay at the Fairfield Inn Denver West/Federal Center. The hotel is located on Union Blvd that appears to be a main commercial road running through downtown Lakewood. Lakewood is a suburban community that is less than 1/2 hour drive to the Cherry Creek neighborhood and downtown Denver. The hotel is also less than 10 miles from the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. Our upgraded room was clean and well maintained. The large room included a sofa-bed, coffee table, desk, two TVs, microwave, small fridge and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable with firm pillows. The large brightly lit bathroom included a walk-in shower. The AC worked well and was quiet but we did not use the bathroom fan that emitted a bad odor. There was no safe in the room. The free breakfast was well prepared - in addition to breakfast breads, oatmeal, waffles, fresh fruit (apples, bananas and oranges) and Chobani yogurt, on different mornings, breakfast included sausage patties, bacon, Canadian bacon, fried eggs (not powdered scrambled eggs), hard boiled eggs, cheese omelets and sausage gravy on biscuits. A sign said plant based meat was available on request. Staff kept the dining area clean and replenished the buffet. The coffee/tea bar was open throughout the day. Parking was free. The area around the hotel felt safe and we were comfortable parking in the large open lot.

5 star hotel conveniently located close enough to the airport. Very clean, friendly staff, fast check-in and check-out, easy parking. Would highly recommend!

Had a great stay. Everything from checkin to checkout was smooth, enjoyable and perfect. Rooms are large, when outfitted, clean, quite and comfortable. Shower was a larger walkin (which we prefer) with plenty of hot water. We used the gym 3 times during our stay. It is small with treadmills, stairsteppers some weights and floor space but had everything we needed for our simple vacation workouts. The breakast is what you would expect for a well outfitted chain but was kept very clean and fully stocked. With the option they provide including (different eggs, bacon or sausage, toast, bagels, small muffins, cereal, oatmeal with fixing, apples, bananas, yogurt, peanutbutter, cheese, waffles) you can fix many combination of breafasts. The grentleman what worked the breakfast on weekends was fabulous as was the women in the back faking the hot food. Parking was ample, free and well light. The hotel is close to the highway and many options for restaurants, sub places, fast food, city market and safeway. It was an easy 15 - 20 minute drive into downtown Denver. Will will stay here again and drive into downtown rather than statying in downtown.
