Denver Marriott West

When I hear Marriott I instantly think luxury, all though the lobby and entrance present that when you walk in, the room atleast the one I stayed in was definitely dated. The room a standard king was on the small side, but even with the dated older apeal the room was the cleanest one I've stayed at in a while. The windows were drafty and there was even a visible gap letting in open ice cold air which cold thw room down on the one side significantly. Thankfully I dislike sleeping hot and I even ended up running the cooling fans not heat. Those in their self ran pretty loud so any ligjt sleeper would have a bit of trouble sleeping. Bed was soft semi comfortable and ran on the small for being a king, ive slept on queens that have felt bigger. Overall if you can get it on the lower priced side its ok but more of a day or two type not a week stay sort of stay.

We come here every year for the State Directors Meeting, and its a fine place. It's just getting a little dated. The skirt on my bed had a tear in it, and the carpets are feeling the wear. Location is good, don't need to drive unless you want to. The breakfast is always good, and the staff is very friendly. Just needs to be a bit updated.

The location was convenient, except for the fact that this location has no EV chargers, and the front desk did not know where any were. We found one two blocks away. There was no safe in the room. The air conditioning worked well but it was loud, even on low. The window didn’t open. On the plus side, the morning coffee service was excellent. There’s a little microwave in the lobby next to the printer to use, as the rooms have refrigerators but no microwave. The housekeeping staff was lovely and worked so hard. Don’t forget to tip them!

4 day stay for family event. Check in was simple and quick. We had requested early check in and were accommodated. Hotel looks like an older building with updating. King room was very typical. In room fridge and coffee maker. Bed was fairly soft. Pillows were pathetic - way too soft and unsupportive. Bathroom was small. It was 100+ degrees for most of our stay, and the room AC took 2 days to cool the room adequately. WiFi was free and nonexistent. We could never get a signal for more than a couple minutes in our room. Ice was non existent. Every ice machine on 2 floors didn’t work during our whole stay. It was reported 2x, and, on the third time reporting it, we were told “sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t”. Food service was a mediocre breakfast buffet for $22/pp. in the evening, I specifically asked about ala carte breakfast, and was shown a menu. In the morning, we were told there was no ala carte, only the buffet. Staff seemed surprised that there was a menu. There was a small vending area by the front desk, and that’s all. We were told we could order room service, but we didn’t like the costs, nor the idea of eating on ourbed. We did not check the pool. Overall, I expected more for $270/night. It was not the Marriott experience we expected.

We checked in on 6/13 and given room 109. I requested a move because there were people loitering around the outside of the room and I didn't feel comfortable. They asked a few questions and moved us. They moved us to the 4th floor.When we arrived we mentioned the air was not cooling properly. After two hours of having the thermostat at 64°, it still wasn't cooling. I called the front desk (about 10:00 pm) and they said they would send someone up to fix it). Maintenance came up to check it out. He claimed to fix it and even left us a fan to try. The fan was broke and the room didn't cool down. After a night of no sleep due to the heat, I went to the front desk at 6:30 the next morning and requested a room change. At that point king rooms were limited but he offered one on the 5th floor. I feel like they tried to help but the hotel is really not in good shape with the cooling systems. The NEW room barely cooled down but was manageable for sleeping. I contact Marriott Customer Service and they said they would send my concerns to the hotel. No response as of two weeks. Hotel is extremely dated and feels dirty.
