Best Western Denver Southwest

Cutest dinosaur themed hotel. Awesome pool!! Great visit. Perfect for kids! The only thing that was NOT cool was the large shamrock food truck that was delivering stuff at 6 am being loud as hell. Maybe consider having delivery’s like that not so close to the rooms and that early. Otherwise amazing hotel!! Highly recommend

Unfortunately when we visited around 22 July 2025 for 2 nights the Internet was very poor, none of the TVs in the 3 rooms worked. Pool was good, as was the hot tub. The morning staff were amazing, helpful and on it. The evening staff from check in were not so good. Breakfast was the usual free offering. Not sure we would stay at this location when visiting Denver again

I really wanted to have a nice time at this hotel but have been dealing with the repercussions of staying here for over a month so I would avoid staying here. I booked this hotel to have a nice time with my partner for a concert we traveled all the way from Texas to go to. Let’s start with the positives — breakfast was good and the breakfast attendants were EXTREMELY accommodating and kind, really went above and beyond for every guest. The young brunette girl at check-in, who actually did something about this situation, was also helpful and nice as well. That 2nd star is SOLELY for them. I would give this stay an unfortunate one star otherwise as much as I wanted to like this place. We thought the dinosaur theme would be fun and silly, and I have stayed at Best Westerns for over 10+ years with family, I have always been a fan of them. We were also really excited about the hot tub, which of course was “out of service”, of course! The 2nd morning we were there I noticed there was blood on the sheets that clearly was trying to be covered up by the pillows. I let the front desk know to please have them change the sheets as there was blood on them, the extremely high employee confirmed and we went about our day, did not think anything of it. Came back, only to find not only had the sheets NOT been changed, but just moved around where the blood was at the foot of the bed to not see it I assume. I knew by the time I had come back for the day, housekeeping had already left for the day so there was no point. I went the next morning and told them ONCE AGAIN, there was blood on the sheets, please change them, this would be the 2nd time asking. It was finally changed our last night there, thanks I guess. After checking out a couple of days later I had noticed I had been refunded in full, and had just assumed they had comped the stay due to the blood. I have worked at a hotel before, this is not out of the norm and I didn’t think anything of it. Two whole weeks had passed by and I see my account is NEGATIVE almost $600 from this place charging me again when the money was ALREADY taken out fully at check in (which I prepaid so it shouldn’t have been in the first place) and then refunded and charged AGAIN? I immediately put in a complaint with Best Western and was contacted pretty shortly after about this. I was told after talking to Best Western customer support I would be contacted by a manager in 2-5 days. Was never contacted by anyone about this. I called back today as it was the 5th business day; Tyler the front office manager for this property LIED and said there was never any complaints about the blood and there was a “credit card error” which is why I was charged AGAIN 2 weeks later. Why was I not contacted about that? A common courtesy email would’ve been fine, at least I would’ve known what happen.
