Great property

Great hotel and met my needs. The hotel felt safe, was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast offered a variety of items.

Due to the Crowdstrike bug affecting Delta Airlines in July 2024, I had to book a couple nights here, last minute. It's definitely a bit out of the way, between Tacoma and Seattle. I think it was like a 40min drive from SEA, even at midnight. But it was worth it as it's a nice, comfortable hotel. As a TownePlace Suite, it's made for more long-term stays. Which means it has a kitchenette and dining table, which is always great. Since I didn't have a car and I was no longer there to sightsee, I basically stayed in my room two days straight. Having the microwave and other utensils was great for reheating leftovers and such. There's not a whole lot around this property in terms of eateries and shopping. There's a gas station next door, so that was good for getting snacks and supplies. Within walking distance, a Subway, a Denny's, and a couple other local restaurants. So you have a few options. I will say that walking across the main intersection there can be a bit scary. This is right off a highway and the speed limits on the main roads seemed high (or at least people were regularly driving over them). This is a suburban area, where cars dominate. Something to keep in mind if you decide to hoof it. Back to the hotel itself, they had a free breakfast everyday. Nothing fancy, but provided proteins, carbs, fruits, and most importantly, coffee. That was appreciated. And it was quiet place. During the day, I worked remote and was never bothered by noises outside or other guests. The bed was super comfortable. After spending 12hrs in an airport dealing with multiple delays and finally a cancelled flight, it was nice to just lay down on a comfy, clean bed. If you're in the more immediate area for business, or you're passing through and need a place to stay for the night, I think this would be a great option.

We were in Tacoma a few days and needed something simple and affordable so we opted for TownePlace since it is a Marriott brand. Venue was easy to locate. The rooms have a mini kitchen and other features. Property was clean and offered a nice breakfast so our stay was pleasant. Staff was very courteous and professional.

This was just a one night quick stay but I would definitely stay here again. Staff were friendly and helpful. They offer earplugs and noise machines for the highway traffic, although I didnt hear anything with the fan running. Bed was comfy, shower was hot and the breakfast we grabbed on our way out was also very good. Overall it was a good stay and we would stay here again if we're in the area

We stayed here for two nights while attending a wedding in Tacoma, as we do not normally visit Lakewood. This hotel is conveniently located just off of the I-5 freeway, very close to the McCord Military Base. There is not a lot of restaurants or cafes nearby. We asked for a west side room, away from the freeway. The windows are a bit on the thin side, as you could still hear traffic. We could also hear people above us walking, but that was not a problem as they were pretty considerate. The room is very clean and lots of closet and storage space. There is a small and complete kitchen setup, great if you wanted to have meals in room. A very roomy four person dining table set was in the room. The only down side is the TV is very small in size, a bit surprising for today's standards. Large bathroom, very clean. Nice toiletries. The only odd part is the towel rack was so far away from the shower/tub, directly behind the door. Not particularly convenient. The breakfast was excellent, even switched up from day to day. Scrambled eggs to fried eggs. Terrific bacon! Lots of variety from pastries to waffles, yogurts and oatmeal. Hard boiled eggs, cereals, etc etc. Quite nice for this level of Marriot. The nice part: FREE parking. That is rare to find now. Definitely a plus.
