Exit doors were not secured. When I notified Rodney on 2/25/25 he showed NO CONCERN. we checked out a day early and he didn't ask why or even care that we were checking out early

Incredibly spotless rooms with a great breakfast and a hardworking staff.
The hotel looks recently refurbished and the common areas are immaculate.
Small but nice gym and an outdoor pool.

I go to Lakeland annually for about a week to watch the Detroit Tigers Spring Training games. I began doing this in 2003 and stayed at this Hampton. I have returned to Lakeland annually every year since 2008. I have not stayed at this Hampton Inn every year but the vast majority of times I did stay at this Hampton as it is very convenient to the Stadium for Tiger games. Probably 15 times over the past 18 years. I must say after staying here over a period 18 years, there were a few minor refurbishments completed, nothing major. Well, the age and lack of updates is now really showing. It needs a real remodel and updating. My wife complained last year and this year I had to agree with her. Because of the location, I would like to continue staying at this Hampton but without some serious updates, I will be choosing another place to stay. I hope they invest in this location and not continue to use it as just a cash cow with no investment.

Hotel is ok. Carpet looks dirty and stained. Beds are comfortable. No housekeeping daily. A 4 night trip only had housekeeping once. Towels are not replaced daily but on request. Breakfast is good but boring. It filled me up though. Coffee is hot and quite good.
Location was great for going to Publix stadium. Good restaurants are fairly close. It’s a pricey hotel for the lack of services and amenities.
This was my second time staying there but I will find another hotel next time.

This is an excellent location to be near the highway (to Tampa and Orlando), and only 2 miles to Joker Marchant Stadium for spring training baseball. It’s right next to both an Applebee’s and a Cracker Barrel (but other more interesting dining options are not far). The hotel is a very normal Hampton Inn, clean if a little threadbare. Desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping (every other day) does a nice job. Breakfast includes hot options including eggs, waffles, and oatmeal, as well as yogurt and fresh fruit. The outdoor pool area was nice, but the water was not heated, so too cold to swim. No views of anything other than roads and parking lots. A little pricey for a basic hotel, but no complaints.
