Welcome to Lakeside Bliss Guesthouse, your tranquil escape nestled just steps away from the pristine shores of Lake Wendouree. This charming guesthouse is newly renovated to offer compact, modern comfort in an top notch location on the CBD side of the lake, providing an ideal retreat for relaxation and adventure. The guesthouse is a fully detached self contained unit to the main house on the property with the driveway acting as a shared walkway to the guesthouse. The space is compact but comfortable with a snug lounge area featuring a wall mounted TV and sound system in front of the super comfy and award winning Emma sofa bed couch. The sofa folds out to to be a surprisingly comfortable queen bed. Perfect for kids or seperate sleeping arrangement. The space is heated and cooled with a powerful split system unit for all seasons. The main Queen bed is situated in the middle of the room and boasts large bedside tables and bed frame to give a further sense of space and comfort. The far end of the main room features the full kitchen. double door fridge/freezer, cooktop, microwave and preparation space all accounted for. Better options in Ballarat While this property is in a great location, it doesnt outweigh the fact that it was filthy on arrival.The bed sheets had hair all through them, luckily we found extra bedding to re-make the bed.Underneath the bed, there was enough dust to suggest it hadnt been vacuumed or cleaned for quite some time. The kitchen also required cleaning before cooking dinner the first night. Cutlery and plates were dirty.The coffee pod machine still had used pods and coffee liquid that needed cleaning. The shower door does not close and seal off, leaving a fair amount of water on the bathroom floor. For a 5 night stay, we were given 2 towels. After cleaning up the floor, we had to go and buy towels.The bed has a new mattress, however it is quite firm. After waking up stiff and sore the first morning, we decided to sleep on the fold out sofa for two nights. By day three, i decided to book elsewhere.The owner did offer a refund for the last 2 nights, but when i chased this up via email, i received no reply.Great location, but there are much better options for your stay in Ballarat!

Lakeside stay The location is very close to Lake Wendouree so excellent for lakeside walks. It was a comfortable studio apartment with a large bathroom with laundry facilities. The kitchen was fine except more cups and smaller plates particularly were needed to avoid daily use of dishwasher. The bed was comfortable and the area very quiet.

Great location Excellent communication, accommodation was spotless, and comfortable. Walking distance to lake Wendouree. Overall fantastic.

Good location Smaller than expected. Fold out coach not comfortable Rubbish was in bins on arrival and washing machine was out of place.Dishwasher had dishes in it.Great location.House at front was also a rental and there were different tenants each day. Host responded promptly to my messages.
