Best Lake Tekapo Hotels

"1. Prime location, with Great Lake view in front, 200m walk from local supermarket; 2. The facilities are good but also very horrible, really big kitchen and common room for guests to cook and eat, outdoor seats with BBQ setting, all kinds of cooking stuff, etc. but shower on the 1st floor is block and the entire toilet is flooded!!!! The basin is blocked also!!!! Flushing of Toilet sometimes doesn’t work, there is hairdryer; 3. I quite like the room, clean and quiet, there is a small light, usb port, and small cabin and curtain on the bed, 2 lockers for each guest, bed is very comfortable;"

"Very satisfied! ! ❤️ Before I checked in, I received email messages with pictures and texts, which left me with a deep impression of the surrounding environment. I received the check-in procedures one day ago😁😁 After arriving, we followed the instructions to get the key and enter. It felt like home, and the layout was exquisite and comfortable. There are 4 units here. The family in the big unit arrived earlier than us. Then another couple of friends came to live in another unit. We were not lonely at all. I pay more attention to the bathroom. The bathroom is very clean. There are also heating lights here. It is very warm when taking a shower. The water power is also good. Great 👍👍👍 Not far from Lake Tekapo, it takes only a few minutes to drive to the center and Shepherd's Church. This attraction really makes people feel relaxed and happy. "I booked this two months in advance and specifically requested a room facing Lake Tekapo via email. While it was indeed a lake-view room, there was a slight obstruction in front, which was a bit disappointing. However, the room itself was very satisfying – a fully equipped apartment-style hotel room. I was pleasantly surprised to find a fast phone charger too! Since dining options are limited there, I also booked the hotel breakfast, which offered a great variety, including Chinese fried rice. I had hoped to stargaze as there were many stars at night, but the parking area was small and very dark, so I didn't venture out. I hope to come back someday to see the Milky Way!"

"Great location, right beside the lake. We weren’t aware that toilet, shower and kitchen is all shared. Cabin is super tiny that is hard to do anything else inside. We didn’t sleep that well and it was not convenient that you have to go outside for toilets in the middle of night. The campsite is nice, but with the amount of people and campvan, the utilities seem to be overloaded."

"The room was very spacious and new, with a great location directly facing the lake. It had a kitchen and dining facilities, and although we didn't cook, it was fully equipped for anyone who wanted to. We checked in around 5 PM, and the owner was there to assist, even giving us a bottle of milk. Later arrivals check in independently, as there's no one at the front desk then. Hotels on the South Island typically don't provide amenities like slippers or toothbrushes. I knew toothbrushes weren't included, so it was good I brought my own slippers."

"The apartment is big and cosy. The check in process is very smooth and staffs are friendly. However, the noise isolation is not very good, can hear the noise from the people in next house and the car parking is a bit difficult. Other than that, everything is good and close to the church and restaurant!"
