Causeway on Gull

Our go-to resort up N! Our unit was great this time and we had beautiful views in the back yard. Every day there was some sort of wildlife in the back. Love Causway and will continue to go back!

1 very rude staff member. Mouse droppings in pullout couch. Mold floating on water in coffee machine. Jacuzzi in unit didn't have any cover up or sign explaining couldn't be used so was disappointed when we found out it didn't work. Otherwise we did have a wonderful week!!!! Everything else was wonderful. We would go back again but just hope few issues are remedied.....

Run! Don’t stay here thought it was nice enough maybe a tiny bit dated but clean a newer furniture, brand new beds. But our unit #16 had bed bugs my daughter ended up covered in bites. And even better I’m pretty sure the place knew all about it sent me to a newer laundromat with 40$ in quarters and gave me an incident report to fill out without batting an eyelash the moment I walked in to the office even told me I needed to take my daughter to the dr for their insurance….. they are knowingly putting people in big infested rooms. If you don’t have an allergy to bed bugs you’re probably going to bring them home from your “fun” family vacation.

Anyone who goes here to stay, find out were there putting you. I'm sure being in this apartment building will not make your stay pleasent. I was there approx 20 years ago, in a Beautiful Side by side duplex (the one they have in the pictures). I was excited to go back. At check in they told me, we were not in the place we were in before, we were in like a apartment bulding. First look, there was confusion on parking, There was only 1 place to park, normally theres 2. It was ok in unit, until people downstairs got in. There is a doorway (with no door), with a hall going downstairs (The door was here). This was in kitchen/livingroom area. I could hear them as though they were sitting in my room. Hear there conversation, here there kids, here them cooking. That night they cooked something and the oil smell was so bad, I had to turn air on to try and get the smell out of the place and open windows. In there morning the cooking, (burnt toast)noise, even clearing there plates,talking, door slaming. It was unbelievable. I have never been in such a bad place EVER. I called to office at about 9am to see if we could get a different place, NOPE, they were full. So we left. We were not even there for 1 day. We well never go back. Remember to ask were you well be staying.

Causeway on Gull has become disappointing. Maintenance fees are rising & we have been asked the last couple years to pay an extra $150 before our stay. We have been staying at Causeway every year since 1996. Finally the carpet has been replaced which has made a remarkable difference. But the furniture is very uncomfortable & has been for years. Hot tubs no longer offered. Hot tubs in each unit was a plus when we purchased our unit in 1996. Cleanliness is an issue. It could be much better. Pool & Exercise room are not very clean. Updates need to be done on everything. WiFi in each unit should be offered. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone to stay at Causeway.

This is my third years taking my families trip before the kids are back to school. We enjoyed our time on CauseWay on Gull. I like that the boat launch is on site and the boat slip is included with the reservation.
