The winter scenery is so beautiful. The location is very good. It is next to the Lake Placid Olympic Center and the ice hockey venue. There are many players who come to train for competitions. The hotel room can directly see the mirror lake. The hotel's food is also good and tastes very good.

There are two problems with the room: 1) The shower water pressure is not enough and the bathroom drain is not flowing smoothly. 2) The air conditioner has problems. This is a best hotel in the Olympic village which is located near the Placid lake. We have a great time and the views are very beautiful that can compare with any place in Switzerland.

Well the view is nice but the hotel needs some care. The elevator closest to our room is broken. Long walk. Only one washer in laundry is working. The other is broken. Can they just fix things? There doesn’t seem to be air conditioning in the hallways and small lobbies at some entrances. It’s hot here and I expected more for $400 a night. The breakfast a la cart menu is limited. All in all, the hotel isn’t up to par for the price we’re paying. I wouldn’t stay again.

We had checked in on 7/12/25 around 1:15 p.m. and due to a family emergency we had to check at around 5:15pm the same day. The manager and/or associate said to us that we could have been issued a full refund but since we had booked through a third party (we booked through Priceline) they could not. I called Priceline and explained our situation and they said they can issue a refund but they just need the hotel to respond to an email clarifying we had an emergency and we checked out. I just got off the phone with Ray at the hotel and low and behold, they denied us a refund and said it was basically our word against what we were told when we had to check out regarding the hotel issuing us a refund.

Loved that the hotel is perched on a hill above Mirror Lake, making for great views & an easy 5 minute walk down to Main Street! The hotel is large, comfortable, & has food, drink, bar & pool onsite! Great place to sit outside & soak in LP! Staff very friendly & price very affordable!

We enjoyed our stay here. We’ve been about 6 times before, and it’s the perfect location for all things Lake Placid. It might be helpful to know that there are some electric car chargers on the south side of the building and there’s two Tesla chargers on the opposite side (not superchargers). The breakfast buffet was worth the $17 for adults (closes at 11:00). The views are great as always! I only wish there was more than one fire pit outside for a hotel this size.
