Cambria Hotel Lake Placid - Lakeside Resort

Cambria Hotel Lake Placid resort is a true gem! We visited over the July 4th weekend and it is the best of both worlds. It is located in a quiet part of the town right on the lake where it feels super serene. At the same time, it is only 5min drive to center of town. The hotel is super clean, modern and bed very comfortable. They have free kayak and paddle boating on site and it is the best part! I forgot my own pillow in the hotel room and the staff are so kind to mail my pillow back to my house. The service is superb and staff are very kind. We came with two young kids and they had a blast in the bunk bed. We highly recommend Cambria!

Room 135 air conditioning very noisy... Dining room service was excellent..the hotel was quite normal and didn't really overlook Lake Placid

The room was fantastic. Traveling with my one-year old I was grateful for the layout of the room. There was room for her pack n play next to my bed, which was wonderful as I didn’t have to leave it in the middle of the walkway. Also the convenience of having a fridge in the room made it much easier to keep milk for the little one- I have had to use the ice bucket at other locations. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again if traveling to the area.

Very comfortable beds, cozy room environment, wonderful staff and great location. The place is very clean and also has a nice view. Free self-parking. I will return here again.

The Cambria is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in many! Krista at the front desk makes you feel very welcome when you check in, and makes you feel appreciated that you chose the Cambria to stay at when you check out. She is helpful with anything that you need :-) The beds are very comfortable, as well as the rooms themselves. You have everything that you could need! The restaurant in the hotel serves excellent food, and the servers are great too!

Most of the staff were exceptionally wonderful. The front desk staff were all wonderful. Jordan in particular always was amazing. And all the ladies were very very nice! There gentleman servers and bartenders were very nice, except the one server on Friday morning. We started off we the gentleman who was lovely. But we had an issue with our breakfast. I ordered the avocado toast, and what I received was horrendous. The bread was soggy and covered with lettuce. My poached eggs were COMPLETELY cooked -solid yoke. My avocado was straight rubber, I couldn’t penetrate it at all with a fork. I have a video of it. So no spreading my avocado onto my soggy bread. When I told her she proceeded to argue with me that poached eggs come fully cooked and the avocado is completely fresh and it’s not supposed to be able to be spread and shouldn’t be soft. She put in for new eggs after arguing with me which took about 15-20. They came out with the white still runny, not just a runny yoke but stringy whites in a bowl with residual water. She took off my avocado toast but charged me for a side of eggs. The waffles we ordered were ego waffles with chocolate chips on top. The French toast was decent. We never ate there again. Except for late night French fries which were good. For the price I paid I was very disappointed with that interaction. But the room was great and clean, the hotel, pool and gym were all clean and very enjoyable and the fire pits were very nice and clean.
