Lake Grassy Inn & Suites

This inn was our first stop on our road trip through Florida. It was a great find. All of the rooms are on the street level, so you don't have to deal with any stairs. And you drive right up to your room, so you don't have to carry your bags but a few feet. The rooms are set up so that you could stay and relax for days if you'd like. There is a kitchen area in each room, complete with all you need for simple cooking. Every room looks out to the lake and it's so peaceful. We enjoyed propping our door open and enjoying a cool breeze. There's a little table and chairs in the room, so we got some food at the grocery store and ate in our room. The bathrooms are upgraded, even though the inn is a bit dated. But because it's not new construction, you have those wonderful thick walls between rooms so there are no loud noises to keep you from getting a good night sleep. The beds and bedding are top notch. We were exhausted from a long day of traveling, and had a very good night's sleep here. There is very little road noise from the highway in front of the inn. We'd gladly stay here again. The rates are extremely reasonable.

They really need to clean up the property. Spilled some water on the floor and had to wipe it up with a paper towel and our paper towel was black. The only thing they really have going for them is the nice lake behind the hotel.

It was in a nice location but the room smelled like smoke and the smoke alarm kept going off at 3 in the morning

Bad Roaches and bugs. Tons of dust and stains on dishes and only 1 burner on The stove worked

The host was friendly and the lake view was awesome! They even had a lounge chair, picnic table and a dock to enjoy the sunrise
