Clean and comfortable room, parking in front, easy way to the lake

Very clean , but the smell of bleach was fairly intense in the room. Great location and associated location for the music festival was perfect. Room was somewhat dated but comfortable. No refrigerator in the room, which was unexpected. Price was high for a Monday but it was tourist season. Enjoyed it, overall! Great Lake cruise!

I cannot recommend the FWH for guests with any disabling conditions. After our stay, I emailed the hotel with this comment: "Poor handicapped accommodations in the rooms. I have made the same observations after past stays, but conditions this time were worse, not better." I noted that our primary concern was that there were no grab bars in the shower, in the tub, or next to the toilet. My wife's only option was to shower in my daughter's room in a nearby hotel. Instead of a reply recognizing my concern, I received this unresponsive email: "We are delighted to hear about your experience and are committed to enhancing every guest’s visit. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back and create more memorable moments for you and your family." The hotel's email was signed, "Sam Luciano President Fort William Henry Corporation."

Stayed here for a wedding and made it a long weekend. The two of us were very excited to stay in the beautiful hotel and we were placed in a motel looking area. They gave us two queen beds when we requested a king size. We were up every hour of the night due to the noise right outside of out room. Definitely not worth the price we paid. We were very disappointed.

We had a great experience at Fort William Henry Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The property is conveniently located to all the shops and restaurants, so we did not have to drive anywhere the whole weekend. We walked to swim in the lake, play mini golf, and go for dinner. They have pool side service where we ordered lunch while enjoying the afternoon swimming. You also get to enjoy the pool with a wonderful view of the lake and mountains. Pictures don't do justice! We will definitely be back and stay here. Thank you to all the staff for great service and a spectacular weekend.

Fort William Henry is in an excellent location. We had a lake view room in the main building with a King bed and pull-out sofa. It has a beautiful view of the lake and is close to the steamboat. I could watch the sunrise from my window or sit outside on the Veranda and watch it. The Veranda was an excellent spot to sit and relax. We were able to walk to the area with all the shopping, coffee shops, and restaurants. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because, for the price we paid to stay Thursday-Monday night (with the weekend price being more expensive), I expected more from the room. The rooms are spacious however our room smelled like the carpet was musty, possibly was wet at some point. The water pressure in the shower was poor as well as the water pressure when flushing the toilet. The coffee machine in the lobby could've offered bigger cups (they were probably 8-10 oz) to prevent having to walk downstairs to refill the cups repeatedly. There was a coffee machine in the room with some kind of pods but it was not enough. My main goal was to be at a hotel that had a great lake view and was a convenient location. I was told this was the best spot (despite the fact that the main building doesn't have rooms with balconies) I definitely got the great view and great location but would've enjoyed it better if the room was a little more welcoming in its amenities.
