Best Western of Lake George

I had specifically spent a few hours to find a room with a jacuzzi in the room (not easy to find) and was soooo excited when I found the king deluxe suite with a jacuzzi listed in the bathroom amenities. We got there to a very outdated hotel with absolutely no elevators so the luggage dolly is useless unless you’re on the first stretch of the first floor (we were on the second). Opened up our room and not only was there no jacuzzi but there was a VERY small plain bathtub in a very small bathroom… we went down to the desk to ask them if they put us in the wrong room, they told us they do not have any rooms with jacuzzis in them and the rooms with “Pool side balconies” are nonexistent too that all their balconies are just for looks and the outdoor pool is a little ways away from the building so maybe a few windows could catch a glimpse of one side of the pool… the only reason I’m not giving this review a fat 0 is because the front desk staff was SO nice and SO welcoming and their breakfast was actually pretty good. We decided to just make the best of it since finding a hotel last minute in lake George is never fun and looked at all our disappointments with humor. The room was perfect temperature the first night so we only used the top blanket to sleep but the second night we stayed we went to use all the blankets including the flat sheet to find someone else’s blood on the fitted sheet underneath... so disgusting. Needless to say we will not be going back there and would love to get our money back but it’s doubtful that will happen…

This place was not worth $100 let alone $350 on a busy weekend. Next time we might just sleep in the car at least that’ll be clean. Queen beds were actually doubles. And for some reason hair was on everything. The staff was pleasant, really nice actually but I feel like they knew it was a challenge since the place was in such disrepair. Maybe Best Western should take these busy weekend rates and make some up grades.

Very Clean room. This hotel is a little dated but that's what you get in the area. Location was right off the Highway which was great. It was very very clean which was great. I would stay here again for sure.

Do not recommend this hotel. This hotel was not a good experience. Our room was not clean, there was still garbage in there from the last person, it had not been dusted, there was hair (not from any of us) stuck in one of the beds and all over the floor, as well as hair ties. The floor had not been vacuumed and there were burn holes in one of the bedding sets. There were only two towels for 3 adults. We also had to ask for towels to even use the pool. We then asked for extra towels for our room, three times and we were told they would bring them up to us and we never received them. While trying to ask for the towels the first time, we were ignored at the front desk by a person who had their earbuds in. While that employee ignored us, another was just sitting in a chair listening to everything and did not offer to help. Unprofessionalism, and lacking in cleanliness. Very disappointed seeing as though we generally only stay in Best Westerns and never have any problems.

The front desk lady when we checkd in was really really nice.
