Lakefront Terrace Resort

Great view as its right on the lake. Its on a steep hill so elderly or handicapped people will struggle. Very sketchy people staying at this hotel while we were there. Lots of people smoking cigarettes. The price for the rooms were reasonable. The rooms itself were terrible. Musty smell. Very old and dated. The lighting is bad. One table w 2 chairs as you entered room. The table was laminate and was peeling apart. The beds were ok as far as comfort goes. Upon checking under the mattress I found a liquor bottle which means they aren't really cleaning under the mattresses. Lots of hairs on the sheets for whatever reason. Three pillows per bed which seemed odd should be four. The floor was laminate but must not if been mopped in weeks. Had on white socks and within minutes my socks were black on the bottom. The bathroom was terrible. Legit had a bottle opener next to the bathtub on the door frame. Mold and mildew along the caulk and shower handle. Several hairs on the shower walls. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided was opened and used by previous guests and for safety and sanitary reasons should be brand new not used. Toilet paper was half used on the roll. The bathroom had an exhaust fan but didnt do anything. My room had a back door which led to a porch and a backyard type area with two patio sets which was the breakroom for the workers. They were very loud beginning around 7:30 AM which was annoying. Room had an ironing board that had several rips in the cover. The iron had water in it upon use. The rooms need better ventilation as it gets very humid even with the air conditioner which wasnt in the best working condition. These rooms should cost $89 a night at most. I wouldn't stay here again. Very uncomfortable experience.

We were totally taken in by the website with beautiful photos of the lake etc. I knew we were in trouble when at check in, by a delightful staff member, advised us that we are not allowed to cook in the room! Suffice to say things went downhill from there. Don’t bank on any privacy - many rooms are ground level and have a regularly used footpath right outside. The ‘beach’ at lakefront is tiny - and we were unfortunate to be next to people playing their play list at unavoidable volume….maybe this is the vibe of Lake George and I chose badly? In trying to balance this review I say again, the check in person was v nice.

Our family did an impromptu weekend end at Lakefont Terrace Resort! The view is breathtaking. We stayed on the yard where access to the lake, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs made for many hours of fun and relaxation! Most of us didn't leave the resort. Saturday evening my sons who are avid cornhole players mentioned that to one of their employees. He said he wasn't sure if they had them. He left on his golfcart and returned in under 10 minutes with a set! Not only that it was turning dark and another employee came to replace a burned out lightbulb in a post then provided two battery operated latterns for each hole in the boards! When it comes to going beyond normal customer service, they provided GREAT Customer Service! We will be returning. Thank you to all the Staff!
