Quality Inn Lake City

We booked a room at the Quality Inn in Lake City, Florida through *******, thinking everything was set. Paid in full. But when we arrived, the front desk refused to let us check in without an additional $150 deposit—a charge that was never mentioned during the booking process. We didn’t have that kind of extra money. I’m a disabled veteran on a fixed income, traveling with my wife just two days before payday. All we had was what we paid for the room. We asked for a refund so we could stay somewhere else, but ******* refused, saying it was "too late" to cancel. Of course it was—we didn’t know there was a problem until check-in. The result? No room, no refund, and no options. My wife and I had to sleep under an overpass that night because Quality Inn Lake City enforced a hidden policy and ******* took our money anyway. This was more than an inconvenience—it was a betrayal. Both companies failed us completely. Avoid them at all costs. If you value honesty, compassion, or basic decency, don’t trust Quality Inn Lake City or ******* with your travel plans.

Comfortable room, clean

Hotel staff was very nice and attentive. Very limiting Breakfast selections. Rooms are small and overall the hotel needs repairs.

Close to highway this area suffers a homeless problem . Safe and friendly locals but streets may encounter displaced citizens . Great reasonable price point stopover with a pool. Walk to Cracker Barrel or ruby tuesdays in complete safety just a few steps. Staff was courteous and respectful

Staffwasfriendly and had good service . The rooms could use some updating . But overall nice hotel
