Great time. Nice carriage ride. Tour guides were a little cold but not horrible.

Fort Wilderness is the best. Housekeeping is so friendly and do an excellent job with the cabins. My only gripe is with some of the bus drivers--let me be clear, MOST drivers are awesome people, but some are just plain rude. If the signs on the bus clearly stated where they were going next, it would reduce the need to ask questions about where the bus is going (especially since the sign will say Magic Kingdom, instead of its true next stop, Wilderness Lodge). During our last trip in January, we checked in and walked to the the bus stop. We didn't see the crosswalk so we walked in front of one of the 4 parked busses. The lady yelled at us and honked the horn as we got to the curb. What a great way to start a Disney trip! Oh and you need to rent a golf cart--it's a must--otherwise you will be waiting for busses all day.

Looking to have a relaxing time at Walt Disney World then Disneys Fort Wilderness Cabins are for you. Cabins have kitchens and living room fully equipped with everything to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Want to experience southern camping with a Disney twist then this is the place for you. Horseback riding, wooded trails, purpose, Hoop dee do revue. So many fun activities for the whole family.

I've been coming to WDW since 2000, my husband since he was a baby. Our family usually goes about once a year but it's been getting harder to do so as we have 2 dogs. We decided the cabins would be a great idea so we can have them with us. Later, when we opted to leave our furry babies with family instead, we still kept our reservation as we were curious about the "'Rough' it in comfort," claims. It is Disney so it should be great, right?! Well, I traveled from Europe and was jet-lagged the first day. I only checked in to drop off groceries as my children were waiting at MK. I didn't think to check for cleanliness, just did the usual check of the beds and left (it is Disney, so it should be super clean is what I thought). Got back extra tired at midnight and went to shower. Found 2 used toothbrushes in shower along with a thick film of soap in shelving. Asked my husband for dish soap and sponge and scrubbed and showered. Too tired, I went to bed. Next day, got up early and left to parks. Again, paid little attention to cabin. Got back at 10pm this time. Look around, the filth was horrible. Dirty windows, stained dirty nook in kitchen, cobwebs, dust everywhere (behind furniture, ceilings, baseboards, moldings), mold all over bathroom ceiling, dirty floors, and TO TOP IT ALL, we grabbed what was labeled as clean linen with a seal for sofa bed to discover a gritty blanket with a BLACK sheet. I called the front desk and told them about bedding and everything else. Was told they will make a report. I said I want lodging up to DISNEY STANDARDS and that this wasn't it. By then it was 11pm and my son fell asleep. I asked for manager to come see me first thing in the morning. Manager comes and I said to please just come in and look around, He took pictures and I showed him mine. He asked that I send him the pictures I took. Didn't even have to argue, he could see exactly how bad the cabin was. He offered to put us in another cabin but given what I could see here, why would I switch cabins? It's obvious what their standard of cleanliness is so I asked to move resorts. The manager was very understanding and without me even asking, he refunded one night's stay. It really was that bad. My advice, if you're going to stay here, take a GOOD look around with lights on and open windows so you can gauge whether you are comfortable. Between being jet-lagged and entire stays at parks, also trusting Disney cleanliness standards, I stayed 2 nights too long. My second resort was a gem, and super clean. Exactly how Disney is supposed to be.

The cabin is cozy but modern. Everyone appreciated the screened patio, especially its hot tub. You can see the Electrical Water Pageant every night from the patio. The kid's Murphy bed is decorated with Chip & Dale. The bed does double as shelving, a feature my daughter frequently remembered after hitting her head. The jetted tub is wonderful, but the soaps are in the shower. The staff is as friendly and helpful as any other hotel/resort. Housekeeping impressed us by asking about specific needs. The cabins are within walking distance of the quieter pool and the outdoor restaurant. Another minute or two and you are at the bigger pool, splash pad, and quick service restaurant. Now that Walt Disney World seems to be adopting more bland atmospheres, the cabins are a good example of leaning into a theme.

It is a nice, green site. The site is very big. A free bus service takes you around. Magic Kingdom can be reached by boat. Other parks are connected by buses from the outpost which works pretty well. The site has a pool, but more for smaller kids. There is table tennis, an electronic games room and there are other games to play. If you stay longer, you can rent fishing equipment, bikes, canoes and golf carts. The shops sell Disney merchandise and essential grocery (expensive). You can as well find restaurants. If you wish, you can to go to evening entertainment for kids which we did not go to. We focused on going to the parks early. The individual RV spots are not very big, but shady. The washroom&toilet is ok. Very friendly staff.
