I was very happy with the overall experience at the French Quarter. The rooms are freshly renovated and I great condition. The hotel was finishing up the renovation in the last building during our stay so they should be finished by now as well. The rooms were Disney standard but modern and without carpet which is a big plus. There could be more hanging space for clothing but it is what it is I suppose. The property itself is nice and small which I appreciated as the ways are short to and from the bus stops for example. The staff was Disney friendly and helpful especially when we were not as happy with the first choice of rooms that we got (different from what we asked for). They were very professional and fixed the issue. The pool area was great as they have a few sun umbrellas, which not every Disney hotel has. All in all I think we’d come back anytime.

This is a very good hotel given it’s technically a 3 Star rating. The rooms are very nice, clean and well proportioned. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Only negatives would be I feel all rooms should have a shoe horn and the toilet paper is probably the worst I have ever experienced. The maids and maintenance staff do a great job keeping everything tidy, my only grumble is the maids come late afternoon which is when I would have a rest before hitting the parks again but they are happy to return later so not a major issue. I would prefer a morning service when you’re out. The hotel staff are all incredible, very helpful and friendly. The dining is good for what’s available and it’s a well known negative by people that this hotel doesn’t have a table service restaurant which we knew so didn’t bother us. The hotel being smaller is a real positive as never had to wait for a bus to the parks and everything runs seamless. We had an amazing time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to everyone.

Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter is one of those hidden gems you almost don’t want to tell anyone about… because it’s that special. If you’re looking for a resort that’s peaceful, beautifully themed, and rich in atmosphere, this is it. The moment you arrive, you feel like you’ve stepped into a storybook version of New Orleans. The cobblestone paths, wrought-iron balconies, vibrant Mardi Gras colors, and jazz music floating through the air make this place feel magical. It’s a resort with soul, and it never feels overcrowded or chaotic — just relaxing and welcoming. This is the smallest of Disney’s moderate resorts, which means everything is incredibly walkable. No 15-minute hikes to the lobby or pool — everything is just a few steps away. The layout is compact and charming, with beautiful landscaping and plenty of places to stroll or sit and soak in the ambiance. ⸻ 🛏️ Rooms The rooms were recently refurbished and are clean, comfortable, and nicely themed without being over-the-top. You’ll find queen beds, solid water pressure in the shower, and enough space for a small family or couple. They’re not luxurious like deluxe resorts, but they absolutely meet the mark for a moderate stay — and the peaceful setting more than makes up for any simplicity. ⸻ 🏊 Pool & Amenities The Doubloon Lagoon pool is a standout for families. It features a sea serpent water slide, a splash pad for little ones, and fun Mardi Gras alligator statues that keep the theming alive. There’s also a dry playground right nearby. The pool water can feel a little warm during hot summer days, but it’s still a great spot to unwind. Plus, the resort shares amenities with Port Orleans Riverside, just a short walk or boat ride away, so you can switch things up during your stay. ⸻ 🍽️ Dining Don’t underestimate the Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory food court. It’s got more personality than most quick-service spots, with New Orleans–inspired dishes alongside Disney staples. The pizza here is surprisingly good (especially for theme park pizza), and the highlight of it all? The Mickey-shaped beignets. Light, fluffy, and loaded with powdered sugar, they’re made fresh — and you can even get a boozy version for adults. A must-try! There’s also a pool bar (Mardi Grogs) with drinks and snacks for adults needing a little extra vacation fuel. ⸻ 🚤 Transportation While there’s no monorail or Skyliner here, the boat ride to Disney Springs is a true highlight — peaceful, scenic, and a perfect way to unwind after a long park day. Bus transportation to all four parks is efficient, and thanks to the resort’s size, the bus stop is never too far from your room. ⸻ 🎷 Final Thoughts French Quarter is a resort that marches to the beat of its own drum — literally. The theming is flawless, the vibe is peaceful but playful, and it’s perfect for anyone looking to balance the excitement of the theme parks with some much-needed downtime. Whether you’re walking along the river with coffee in h

It’s a given that you will always pay more at Disney, but it has reached the point of just ridiculousness. I’m happy to spend more, when what I’m getting feels worth it in some form (Whether it’s location, amenities, cleanliness or food etc.) However, This place fell massively short in every area. All I will say is that some staff members were extremely lovely. They are fortunate for their staff. But for the price, the hotel itself is no better than a glorified motel. The pool is not big enough for the size of the resort, there is a lack of shaded areas at the pool for those with young families. Free water is warm, or 5-6 dollars for a bottle. Without a refill cup, be prepared to spend hundreds on drinks and basic food in a day or so. Service and food quality at the food court is slow and sloppy. It may be that I went in July, but the impression I have is that it is Disney prices, but not a disney experience like it once was. Universal and their hotels are leagues ahead. Without the free waterpark day, It is just not worth it at all.

I used to come here (Riverside) every year as a Child, from the age of 9-17 my parents would bring me and my sister here every year! I came back here after 13 years of not visiting and it was just as beautiful as I remember, i loved the fact everything was still the same, the Free Drinks refills, the smell, food, boats to Disney Springs, Busses to the Parks it was great! Staff could have been quicker with their service, and its touch and go if they are either Amazing Staff Members, or not very Good! Overall though so happy I came back and cannot wait to visit again soon

While we have stayed here a number of times, it has been awhile since we have been here (last couple of times we visited this resort was closed). Check-in was a breeze and we were able to access our room early. The room was clean and well maintain. Actually most of the rooms have been upgraded and they were working on the last building while we were there. Transportation: There is a boat that will take you to Disney Springs. To get to one of the parks, you will need to take one of the buses. A nice thing, that was new (for me) is in the bus area there is a sign that gives you the time when the next bus (for what ever park you are going to) is set to arrive. A 2 thumbs up for whoever thought up that idea. For us, staying at this resort is like coming home.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and had a great time. Most days your in the parks but we did have some pool days to rest. Pool is a good size and has a nice slide for the kids. Also there is a splash park next to the pool with some small slides. The rooms are nice with a decent size bathroom and large tv that you can log into your disney+ account etc. The resort is quite small with only one main food hall but we liked this as we didn't want to be walking miles from our room to all the facilities like some of the other larger resorts. We did go up to Riverside as you can also use their pool but we preferred the pool at French Quarter. The buses are every 10 mins to all the parks and go direct which is good so they don't carry on to Riverside which means the buses were always fairly empty. You can also get a boat to disney springs which took about the same time as the bus so was super handy although the boats don't run when there's a storm so if your wanting to get the boat back from disney springs and its raining you'll have to get the bus back. Last boat back is 11:30. The food hall is ok. We had breakfast most mornings but it did get repetitive. Pancakes, waffles, with hash browns, bacon, sausage and scrambled egg. Lunch or dinner was good with salmon, half a chicken, beef stew with mash and vegetables etc. I did get a slice of pizza one day and it was pretty bad. Was not fresh! If the food was a bit better and had more choice then I would give 5 stars. We would definitely come back though.

Pros:The hotel is beautifully themed, great pool, restaurant, lobby and store. With only one bus stop transportation was great and we had no problems. Cons: We had connecting rooms and with a 2 1/2 year-old there was no way to keep the doors open and we were constantly worrying about him getting his fingers pinched. The bathroom area lighting was not bright enough. I also had a problem with the shower area. I am 82 years old and the floor was slippery with nothing to hold onto once you’re in the shower. I did not feel safe at all. It was a great vacation and I definitely would go to French Quarter again!
