The resort is closed since April 2024!!!!! Do not go there, it is abandoned. No reception, no bar, no restaurant. It is a ghost hotel. We had a reservation and we drove a long way for finding a sign informing about the closure. Phone numer not working either.

Our family spent 3 nights at DeLago in a twin room and we can honestly say it was one of the best weekends we have had. We went canoeing at sunset, swimming in the pool looking over the lake and my oldest daughter caught her first fish. The new management and staff bent over backwards to make our stay a memorable one. Whether we are coming for just lunch and a swim or a few days stay, we will definitely be going back to DeLago Resort. Ps, the Fish Tacos are mint 👌🏾

I was optimistic that Lake Bennett would finally live up to its potential given it has been under new management for some time now. I was very much looking forward to a relaxing camping trip to unwind following a busy week at work… unfortunately it was far from the experience I had hoped. We were stung $45/night for a powered tent site. When we got to the tent site it offered only a small concrete pad and a small road base/rock area with no where to park your car. It was on such a slope that anything we put on our table was sliding off. The power outlet was broken so electricity had to be scavenged from your neighbours site if there was a spare outlet. The tent sites were so small that tents were literally touching the ones in the next camp. In the end the site was so small and unsuitable for a tent set up that we opted to relocate down to the unpowered area. This area was just a slashed paddock with hard ground and an abundance of rocks. Scattered amongst it was a littering of eyesore demountable ablution blocks that weren’t in use/plumed in. There was a large group staying in the park but they weren’t put together so they spent all day and night walking and driving back and forth to each other through our camp. Management also did nothing to manage the excessive noise the group was creating up partying until 3am. Most facilities have “out of order” signs on them. There were only 2x toilet cubicles and 2x shower cubicles for each gender to service the entire caravan park. Not only was this vastly inadequate, they were completely filthy. I can’t even imagine how long it must have been since they were cleaned properly last. They were so filthy you felt like you were getting dirtier when you attempted to have a shower and the stink of the toilet block was close to making you dry retch when you went in there. To top it off there’s nowhere to put your toiletries down and none of the water is potable. The toilet block was also in state of disrepair. Timber is rotting, tiles missing and never any hand soap. I was going to get some photos for this review but was so disgusted I couldn’t bring myself to go back in there. Management don’t make any effort to leave guests undisturbed in the mornings. Instead of using a quiet electric golf buggy to get around in, as nearly every other caravan park does. They choose to use petrol Polaris buggies from first light in the morning waking the whole camp up. Just to be sure no one has a relaxing morning, they choose to drag wheelie bins around and have them emptied at this hour as well. There’s very little shade available so you get to enjoy roasting in the sun while you pack up. Their website is also incorrect with what hire equipment is available. There are not stand up paddle boards available. How this place has any positive reviews is beyond me. Probably the worst caravan park I have ever stayed at in all my years of travelling and camping.

Stayed at De Largo Resort as a stopover after visiting Litchfield National Park. What a hidden surprise (to me anyway). Lovely accommodation, fantastic frozen cocktails on the deck to watch the sun disappear for the day. Nice range of meals available for a casual evening, and breakfast included. Would well stay here again.

We booked eight Lakeview rooms -did not know quite what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the food was really good. The staff were very friendly and efficient. No complaints whatever about our stay!

Great place for a family! Beautiful views, sunsets and a nice swimming pool right on the veranda. Our two girls loved it. Restaurant has a great food, staff is amazingly kind and helpful. Rooms are clean, with big beds and foxtel TV. The balcony with a view to the lake is nice as well. We highly recommend De Lago!

The best view that I have seen in years. Management have done a great job to restore this place. Staff were friendly and were lovely to deal with. It was great to wake up from the sunlight in the morning bouncing off of Lake Bennett. I had a lovely walk around the lake to start my morning.

Lovely experience at De Lago Resort. I was not exactly sure what to expect as it is 1 hour south of Darwin (and Darwin is quite remote-feeling already). But, I kind of fell in love with the place. There is something about it - I can tell why people want to live around the lake.

Went to De Lago Resort last year and had a great time. Spent most of our time around the pool sipping frozen cocktails. We participated in a canoe race, which was awesome as the Resort had the competition without any entry fees. We had 6 teams compete and it was a blast.
