Hotel Los Antiguos Cerezos is a low-key hotel located on the edge of town on R43, the road to Chile, at 2km from the Los Antiguos bus-station. The hotel offers very simple rooms over 1 floor and had its best days long ago. Free weak Wi-Fi. Friendly and helpful staff. Once there were high expectations to get Los Antiguos, the cherries centre of Patagonia, into a tourist’s favourite. There is a new promenade at Lake Buenos Aires (a prestigious present by president Kirchner), and a nice tourist office. The whole town is eager to see tourists. There are no tourists. The lake is cold and the wind is fierce. Our simply furnished & decorated room had an OK double bed, extra single bed, wardrobe, TV on the wall, no chair & no table. The window can be opened. A separate small bathroom with toilet, washbasin, bidet & shower. All was clean. Breakfast is modest, but OK: bread & butter, croissants, home made marmelade, cheese & ham, orange juice & jam, tea & coffee. We found Hotel Los Antiguos Cerezos a practical hostel, and good for one night.
