Upsetting that it wasn’t noted prior to booking that breakfast was cancelled for two days due to a pipe break. Hotel room was just as expensive as hotels with operating breakfast areas.

Standard hotel off I-57. A little challenging to get to with the road configuration. Comfortable and quiet, like most Hampton Inns. Needs some upgrading. Good sized rooms. Friendly staff. Good for an overnight stay.

Good quiet hotel, even though there was work being done on the building the staff made it well aware, it was very easy to get to my room still and there were no interruptions due to the noise one of the best hotels I've stayed in will be booking best western more in the future!

Dirty room; they don't vacuum properly. Smelly (moldy). Didn't get housekeeping when we asked for it. No decent breakfast; pool unavailable (and there's nothing on the booking site to indicate this). Front desk staff loudly joking with each other and inattentive; one using foul language to his colleagues who apparently played some joke on him. Seriously: this place used to be one of the better options in Mattoon, but I'll NEVER stay there again. NASTY and UNPROFESSIONAL.

Upon arrival the clerk did not acknowledge that I am a Hilton Honors member . Also I had done for the first time an electronic lock on my phone which did not work. Up and down the elevator four times to try four different keys and NONE worked. By this time my patience ran out and I said to her either get me a different room or we will go somewhere else. This took her a good 5 minutes to find whatever she was looking for. Our bed was comfortable thank you but the shower handle was broken and we couldn’t adjust the water temp. The chairs in the lobby were shot! I have pictures if you’d like to see. This Hampton is not by any means the good standard that other Hamptons we’ve been to in the past. We choose Hilton hotels because of their good quality and standards and this one is by far way below quality. Highly disappointed!

Fast easy check in. Pool and hot tub drained. Construction in lobby. Room very small for all the furniture. Not enough space for 4 people. Walls in bad shape.

We stay at this property each time we're in the area. Nice and clean. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast. Miss Rose makes every stay wonderful. She is so pleasant and makes us feel like family. We're there every year for the Bagel festival. Looking forward to seeing her again in a couple of months!
