Characterful old country house restored as a small hotel deep in the woods of the Cantons de l'Est. Set back across Rte. 215 from Lac Brome, it offers a warm welcome and wonderful food in it's two restaurants, one with outside seating. Our rooms were pleasant, but not spacious; the beds were very comfortable. Nearby Lac Brome/Knowlton (with a very interesting museum of local life and history), and, further south, Sutton, are two small and lively towns well worth visiting. Nearby back-road US border crossings are quick and quiet, with minimal formalities. The whole area is gratifyingly rural and French-speaking, though everyone also speaks English. Recommended.

Omgeving was uniek! Jammer dat het restaurant vanaf zondagmiddag t/m woensdag dicht is. De wandelpaden om een eigen vijver zijn magnifiek. Als je vroeg wandelt heb je kans om een beer te zien.

We stayed at Jolivent for two nights to take the Three Pines Tour, which was amazing. Jolivent is a beautiful place. We had a very comfortable room and bed, an amazing meal at Alize, and took a wonderful hike on the many kilometers of trails on the property. The entire staff from the owner to the front desk folks to the chef to the wait staff could not have been friendlier. We cannot wait to go back!

Accueil parfaite par tous le personnel. Terrasse pret du petit lac (excellent pour y apporter son lunch et nos drink personnels. Chambre très confortable. On n’a pris le déjeuner inclus dans notre réservation ( excellent). Amandine a bien pris soin de nous pour nous apporter le bois pour un feu extérieur. Merci a l’équipe pour tout a une prochaine
