This is a difficult review to write, because you get what you pay for and I understand that. However, there are some basic things that need to be covered. The hostel has no hot water, which was not clear at the time of booking. In fact, it's in the small print which I only saw in the booking confirmation. We are travelling with 2 children so that was no appropriate for us. The hostel grounds itself is in major need of upkeep. The pool was green and mouldy. It's also located directly across the fish market and there was a horrendous smell at the front of the property. In saying all of that, the staff understood our concerns and helped us find another place to stay for the night.

Place looked like the pictures but was a bit more dirty in the corners of the room but otherwise no problem. Staff was friendly and helpful. The place is a bit far from the airport however only 10min walk to the harbour. There was also a prayer place right across the street so it got very loud at 2am

No Wi-Fi is provided.
There is no smartphone signal.
There are no amenities either.
There are only empty shampoo and body soap containers.
There is no hot water in the shower.
Cold water comes out.
The sink is broken.
The toilet doesn't flush.
The bath towels are well-used and worn.
The sheets are filthy and stained.
There were a lot of bugs crawling around the room.
The staff were working with hammers and saws until around 11pm, making for a noisy carpentry session.

Very well located. The rooms are clean, the service is attentive and friendly.
In terms of sanitation, we had a private bathroom, apart from a few leaks in the tap and shower, the essentials were there.

staff were good, very friendly but the noise from another bar was very loud, not good, they did change my room and that helped
