Hotel Canto del Mar

We stayed two nights at this hotel, on different days. The first night we had a small room with a sea view on the third floor (the hotel does not have an elevator). The hallways were a bit cold and they kept the windows and doors open, which made the sea breeze blow and increased the feeling of cold. The hotel is a bit old, however, everything was very clean. We asked for an extra blanket that was brought to the room. When I left I kept a jacket that they kept until the next day when we returned to the hotel (which is appreciated since it was my favorite). The hotel has a restaurant on the first floor that has very good dishes (we ordered crab soup, lasagna and everything was delicious). The second room, which we had with a sea view, was larger and had a larger bathroom. Breakfast was included and there were breads, cakes, donuts, coffee from a machine, fruits, juices, everything freely available. The staff at both the hotel and the restaurant got a 7! I am not giving it 5 points because there are aesthetic details that need to be improved in the infrastructure. Downstairs on the first floor there is a pharmacy, ice cream parlor, restaurant and ATM.

Very expensive for the quality offered, there is no parking, the water in the bathroom is barely enough to bathe, the room has a broken glass, noise at night and in the morning. The breakfast is acceptable, but the room does not have air conditioning, the TV set is old. Very simple and very expensive room. They charged us more than 125,000 for one night.

The weather was very windy and cloudy, the Canto del Mar hotel is now a disaster, the rooms with dirty beds, the bathroom with mold in the dining room at breakfast time all the doors were open, one day there was no hot water for breakfast. My friend and I caught a cold, it lasted 15 days, I ended up in the clinic and my friend is still in bed and has had to go to the doctor twice, our stay was 3 nights at the beginning of December

It is in an excellent location, the rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is served in the Fontana Cafe, very complete. The negative is the poor quality of rest, extremely noisy, I had a room adjacent to the restaurant kitchen, until late at night past midnight, loud reggaeton and shouts from the staff. The room (236). 2 nights without sleeping well, asking reception to turn down the music and they only turned it down for a few minutes. The 3rd night I had to go down to reception at 12am and the girl at reception very kindly changed us from reception. I recommend staying at the hotel as long as they do not accommodate you adjacent to the restaurant kitchen because the staff, despite the request from reception, do not turn down the volume of the music, they do not stop shouting.

Hotel muy bien ubicado sobre la Costanera; frente al mar; zona turística de la ciudad. Con buen servicio a la habitación; personal amable en recepción y mucamas y el desayuno buffet lo mejor! muy rico; alojamos 4 noches y es totalmente recomendable. Tb recomiendo la cafetería de la esquina La Trinidad buenos precios y exquisito
