Crisol la Selva

Es un hotel que está bien para hacer una parada en el camino. La piscina está muy bien. El personal fue amable con nosotros. Lo único las instalaciones algo desgastadas, pero el aire acondicionado funcionaba correctamente. Fuimos en pleno agosto y para lo caro que estaba todo por la zona, nos pareció una buena decisión. Para aparcar fácil y en coche desde el hotel a Tarragona son unos 18 minutos.

For my vision is not up to a 3 star .. What saves the note is simply the kindness of the staff who do not fail to give us attentions that make us smile, and the location which is ideal because 15 minutes from PortAdventura and 15 minutes from Tarragona, Salou etc .. Let's start with the exterior, which is very pretty on arrival but from the pool you can see that the walls are not completely finished, the edges of the pool too, normally in the pool there is a fountain I have never seen it turn on, and on the side you can also see the trash cans quite simply ... too bad because the setting around is nice and very relaxing. And besides if you plan to go to the pool good luck because 3 deckchairs are running after there are never enough deckchairs for everyone I find that absurd. Now the room, so if you were planning on sleeping in you can forget it... you can hear everything that happens in the corridors at all hours. So now what is most crucial for me is the state of the room which is not at all great, rusty bathroom furniture, ceiling which in my opinion does not support humidity well, lack of coat rack, toilet bowl not screwed in... in addition the decoration is seriously lacking to feel like you are in a real cocoon because there is no bedside table and in addition the sockets are behind the pillows... Breakfast is quite simple and for me lacks regular restocking if you arrive at 9am you will certainly see two or three fruits dueling on the tray. Now a touchy subject, refugees, great the teams do a great job with them but sometimes as customers who pay for a service we feel like we are in a youth hostel... After having stated these problems above at the reception, the staff was responsive to try to sympathize with this disappointment, during the day changes were made to improve our last two nights. I would like to tell the hotel manager that it would be good if he thanked his teams because without them nothing would work, the receptionists are also at the bar, lack of staff I suppose. It is thanks to his team in my opinion that his hotel is still standing!!!!! Following these events we had a meal offered in the hotel restaurant, thank you very much from the staff but in the end I would have preferred never to set foot there... The restaurant room is empty, soulless, sad... now let's talk about the menu which is normally €18, dishes without flavor, or anything very clearly. My husband is in the business and unfortunately when you get a mistake between a sirloin steak and a rib steak on the menu, there is a problem. The fruit salad with the same fruits presented in the morning, I want not to waste but you have to make sure that the customer does not feel it and unfortunately that was the case here.

Good treatment in general, especially by Jasin the receptionist, without belittling the rest of the staff. Good facilities and food. Good value for money. We will definitely return. I recommend spending a few days between the mountains and the sea.

We booked an overnight stay here while traveling. The room was fine, the bed too and the bathroom was clean. A bit of a shame that there were stains on the upholstery of the sofa bed and the bench at the end of the bed. That's not really relaxing. The lady at the reception was very friendly and speaks excellent English. You can dine there, a three-course menu, for little money. There is enough choice and the food is tasty. The service is friendly. Only the space of the restaurant is bleak. The breakfast was good, but here again; what a bleak affair. The same applies to the bar. Unfortunately there is nothing to eat in the bar and dinner was not until 8:00 PM. That is a shame when you arrive somewhat tired at 3:30 PM after quite a few hours in the car. But don't worry, we walked to the center of la Selva del Camp, 10 minutes, where we could eat something.

The room (suite) is fine, spacious with a big bed, a sofa, a terrace and a good TV... but it fails in the small details; like the lack of knobs in the bathroom and terrace (you have to work your nails off), a light switch hidden behind the sliding door, etc. But nothing serious in itself. The breakfast was fine... but where it failed miserably was at dinner (a living-dining room that was terribly cold), where they brought us some tasteless cannelloni flooded with fried tomato (nonsense), some grilled vegetables with cuts that were too thick and cooked without salt, and a sirloin that only impresses because of the name and not because of the meat. Some acceptable fish skewers, and for dessert the worst coulant we have ever tried... if you only have three first options and three second options at least you expect them to be well done dishes (and that is not the case), the only good thing about dinner was the service of the waiter and that the drink was included (an unusual surprise)

Good hotel for a stopover, comfortable rooms and very friendly reception staff. Simple breakfast (compared to other hotels in the same chain), but good quality. Free parking if you book on their website and if not, there is plenty of space outside.

Very well received by the staff, always listening to us, advising us so that our stay goes as well as possible. Very clean and quiet. Has parking. Thank you to all the staff, as well as the management. It is very well located, 20 minutes from the sea.
