One star for the venue, nothing else... Château privatized for a wedding... The receptionist always on hand for a yes or no... even during the evening in the wedding room around 1:30 a.m. serving herself a drink with 2 other people (strangers...) before going to sit quietly on the terrace... 😡😡 (what does privatization mean for you!!!!! Surtt that everything was reserved for the castle and all the rooms....) .. Responds very poorly to its customers... Very shameful behavior.. I do not recommend this place at all

The studio villa was nicely appointed, very clean and quiet. Sandrine and her team are true professionals, welcoming and concerned about the well-being of their customers. I unreservedly recommend the Château de la Redorte where I plan to return soon for another soothing break.

Magnificent experience in a recently renovated residence. Almost new studio room. I did not test the pool as other people were using it that same day. Too bad this evening closed from November to March.

We booked a romantic getaway without the children because we had already been there as a family 5 or 6 years ago. But what a disappointment! This residence now belongs to a group which manages several residences in France and the result is felt. The staff is absolutely not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel, too few in number, whereas before there were real hotel staff , we took care of our luggage and took great care of us. Now you have the impression of being at the Ibis hotel and you are on your own for everyone and since the reception is not open all day you have to look for a manager every day. In fact there are only trainee receptionists who never know how to respond to our requests. We wanted to express our dissatisfaction with the catastrophic management of equipment and accommodation but invisible responsible. When we finally manage to come across it by chance we are told that everyone knows the problems but that the new managers are not more motivated than that and that the salaries are so low that we cannot expect the teams to go out of their way for a group that collects the money without ever following them or supporting them. The least we can say is that the atmosphere is not at its best within this company and it is the customers who pay and suffer the consequences. It's a real shame because before it was a luxurious and pleasant place whereas today there is no maintenance and no staff. We will not return and we do not recommend.

Looking at the photos, you might think you are in a castle but when you arrive at reception you quickly become disillusioned! We are better received and welcomed in an Ibis in an industrial zone! A middle-aged woman, Sandrine, says she is the manager of the establishment. We have to take her word for it even though she has more the posture of a narrow-minded receptionist. Indeed, when we ask her for information, she answers us as if we were stupid children, with sentences like "well yes, that's how it works" emphasizing the words and with a little smirk. The next day, it is precisely 12:32 p.m., we meet her at the entrance to the castle. My husband begins his sentence with "hello Madam, excuse me, can you tell us if...." he did not have time to finish his sentence. With a fishmonger's voice she exclaimed "it's half past twelve and at half past twelve we eat, we have the right, don't we?" When I wanted to intervene she interrupted me, still saying in a vehement tone "and no need to come back at two o'clock, there won't be anyone". My husband still asked his question: is the village restaurant open on Monday lunchtime? She had already turned her back on us as she continued on her way and shouted "I don't know, call, that's what phones are for, right?" As you can see, don't expect to stay in a castle. Even if the building is indeed one, the services and the staff are not up to par: the restaurant is correct but without the charm that one expects from a castle. The bed and bath linen is identical to that of an Ibis. The price of a castle with the services of a low-end hotel. In the village of Azille the traders explained to us that the quality of the castle has been declining year after year since the arrival of a new buyer. As proof, according to them it is the waltz of directors who never stay very long and no one in the region will work there as a chambermaid, unless they have no other job opportunity. A very mixed experience and, at the price of the room, it's a shame: take an average hotel and visit castles, at least you'll know what you're paying for!

We had a fabulous stay there. We rented a villa with a private pool and were not disappointed. We were able to enjoy an hour of spa time, a very pleasant moment of relaxation. We recommend with your eyes closed if you are looking for a week of change of scenery and rest.

I arrived at the Chateau Thursday August 4th for 4 nights. I had booked a suite in the Chateau, my sister and my niece had booked an apartment in the grounds, on the ground floor, suitable to my sister's needs. The chateau and its surroundings are stunning. Nobody was at reception when we arrived, when the receptionist came he was flustered, and explained he'd only been there for 2 weeks, and was alone. We checked in, he took me upstairs to my room, but was unable to find the correct key. He was very apologetic and spent 20 mins looking for it. He couldn't find it and tel. a more senior member of staff to help. Meanwhile, he took my sister and niece to their accommodation. It was upstairs, and the stairs were extremely steep and narrow. My sister had specifically asked and paid for a ground floor app. The senior member of staff arrived, my key was deemed to have been taken away by a chambermaid, and discussions ensued as to where we were going to be accommodated. She offered the three of us a room together, for that night, and then was most put out that we declined to accept that. She never once apologised for the total mismanagement of our bookings and the way everything had been handled, and said,'I am offering you a solution', with a very straight and annoyed face. Her attitude was very rude. I slept in a different room for that night only, the next day I was moved to the room I was originally booked into. The key was found .My sister moved twice in the week that she was there. One would think that rooms would have a spare key, and that staff would be trained to be pleasant to the guests. Mistakes happen, but it was badly handled. What a shame!

We stayed at this establishment over Easter and we loved it. We had doubts that it would really be like the images and that we could stay in the castle and reality surpassed the photos. It is a beautiful place, with a lot of history and ideal for resting where you will feel like a marquis. It is true that in terms of services, it does not have the services that standard hotels usually enjoy, but for us that was no impediment. The girl at the reception was very friendly at all times and helped us in every way possible. They even upgraded our room since they needed the room they had initially assigned us. It is a place to which we will undoubtedly return as soon as we can.
