Hampton Inn & Suites la Porte

I’ve stayed here a number of times over the years for a marathon I run in Seabrook every March. This time will be the last. -Sofa bed sheets stained and the stains? They were still wet! -Air conditioning didn’t work well. -Sink faucet way too close to corner of the sink making washing your hands quite difficult. -Evening front desk clerk wasn’t very nice and seemed to hate his job. -Shower took a long time to heat up and water pressure not great. -Breakfast not bad, but coffee was lukewarm and didn’t taste very good. Don’t stay here.

Hotel was nice and clean but the night manager and staff were so terrible that I would never return here. We stayed here for a baseball tournament and our last game did not end until after 10. We arrived at 1030 and my DoorDash order was set to be delivered at 1040. Night staff was extremely rude while we waited on our DoorDash order to be delivered. They yelled at us that the lobby was closed and then slammed the door in our face when we tried to speak to them to explain why we were in the lobby. Once we received our food we went back up to our room and were called back down because they had called the cops on us for sitting there waiting for our food. It was just my husband, myself and my 8 year old son and we were not speaking at all. 100% would never return to this hotel.

In a desperate attempt to escape the horrid Hilton (NASA), I made reservations at this hotel. I was so pleased to find it perfectly clean and updated. At 9:30am I called asking if there was any possible way I could check-in early and I was greatly relieved when Melinda @ the front desk said sure, come on over. Very clean hotel, conveniently located, with plenty of nearby grocery and restaurant options!

We stayed here for four days the beginning of August. This hotel seems fairly new. It is very clean (I always saw someone cleaning something), and the staff are all very welcoming. There is a Kroger across the street which was very convenient. Room: The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. It had lots of plugs and usb ports for plugging things in. Staff: Lovely staff, always greeted us with a smile. Melinda at the front desk was super helpful when an Uber Eats delivery person showed up with a bottle of wine from our kids as an anniversary surprise, and she knew, when there was no answer to a call to our room that we were in the pool and brought the delivery person out to us. Food: The breakfast area was very well set up. Good change of food over the days we were there. Hot items like scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausages, omelettes, potatoes, french toast, waffles, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs. They had good coffee, juices, just well done. Every evening there was something sweet at the front desk. I saw warm, soft chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies and lollypops. Pool and workout room: The pool was an adequate size and thankfully in the later day and evening it was in the shade of the hotel. It was over 100 every day we were there. I did not use the workout room, but it looked well equipped. A couple of noteworthy restaurants nearby were Pappas Bar-B-Q and Main 101 Grill and Bar which had an excellent menu, definitely a step up from the standard fare restaurants. The Linden Johnson Space Center is only about 10-15 minutes' drive from the hotel and also University of Houston-Clear Lake and University of Texas are not too far away. This is a good choice if you are in the area.

Excellent hotel. Very clean. Great breakfast and staff was wonderful. The breakfast lady even took the time to go over the available options with my daughter since she must avoid gluten. There is not that much to do in the area, but if you are looking for a great hotel close to the Space Center this is a wonderful option.

I arrived during this massive thunder and lighting storm. The hotel's main door was open as the power had been knocked out briefly. The front desk agent ushered me into the hotel and told me to sit and relax for a few minutes as the computers were rebooting. She then spoke with the housekeepers who were about to leave and head out into the storm, convincing them to weather the storm inside the hotel. We all talked for a while as the computers rebooted and the storm finally passed. The system would not come back online and I used the app to assign my room. The power was now back on but had struck the public safety building nearby, creating problems with the phones and internet. Everything was restored about 1 hour later. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean, did not have an overpowering odor of air freshener, and an ample supply of towels.

When I travel I only stay at the Hilton hotels. I always find them clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. I know what to expect when I stay at a Hilton hotel. The breakfast is always hot and fresh with numerous options for your preferred tastes.

Staff is friendly and attentive - especially the breakfast folks. Breakfast was yummy each day and plentiful. A/C in room was strong, cool, and robust; Shower was excellent - w/ sliding glass door versus a shower curtain. They didn't provide room service (prob Covid protocol) but we preferred this - and easily did a towel swap w/ house-keeping. Only issue was the tiny bathroom sink w/ faucet at the corner - that caused sink top flooding when we used it. Stupid location for the faucet - and the sink should be bigger give this is a Hilton (not Motel-6). Pool was disgustingly green when we were there - hope we don't get a fungus due to entering it.

From the moment you walk in the front doors it is very warm and welcoming! The staff was amazing and everything was so clean! The staff all went above and beyond! In the future this will be the only place I stay when visiting.
